Yes, as in I had drinks on 12/31 and then nothing until a long weekend at the end of January, and now back to zero for probably the next few months.

Damn, mirin' dedication. I'm up by 5am but I usually don't mosey on over to my gym before 7am. Sometimes 6:30am.

I've been doing that for a long time time now. It's definitely a bro-method of doing cardio. But once I got used t it, it's as much about waking up and clearing my mind than anything else.

It doesn't matter what is best onpaper; the best is whatever you will consistentlydo.

Something that you will do day in and day out for years, beats something where you are hit and miss because you hate it.
Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!

The only dangerous thing about an exercise is the person doing it.

Yeah thats probably the most critical thing about consistency in the gym. I still hear people cursing the gym or claiming they 'hate' it and, on one hand, I guess you can see it as at least commendable that they're still going despite not liking it, but it's not likely to stick. It needs to be weaved into your lifestyle and if your lifestyle isn't so conducive to weight lifting and health, 3 months of eating salad and doing light weights isn't really going to help you make sustainable change. Some people tell me I'm 'crazy' that I get up so early, that I train so early, etc. I've gotten those statements from random people for as long as I've been training. It was usually from a chubby girl when I was in college who was sitting having a sugary iced coffee and some other garbage in a 9am class, passing out brownies and making judgments about my not wanting to drive in a bunch of butter and sugar at 9am lol. I won't analyze it any further but it definitely comes from a place of insecurity and intimidation.

Anyways, heavy pull day probably tomorrow morning. The winter has been spectacularly mild here lately so I'm counting down the days until I can swing open my large garage door and open-air lift while Sepultura bleeds down the mountain.

Not 5am but 7am. I'm up by 5am and that's my quiet time. Catch up on new records and read a few things over black coffee. Usually peruse the misc at this time as well.

Re lifting: I get more reps, with more weight, in the evening; so I lift in the evening.
Re cardio: swimming is the only type of cardio that I've been able to sustain for extended periods.

It had been only snowing at first but after the run, it started lightning.

It was fun to watch it from a safe place at home.

Snow and lightning simultaneously, it's the first time in my 64-year-life.

You'll never know everything in your short life.

Have a nice day misc.
Wow, I've actually never seen snow and lightning simultaneously come to think of it. Cool photo, thanks for sharing!
