So what should a fast food manager with 1 yr of experience make, $120/hr? How about a fresh law school grad? $800K starting salary? BRB paying the 22 yr old holding up a sign at a construction site $150/hr. Each can of the Monster Ultras he drank that morning will be priced at $20. BRB, my new profession will be a bootlegger of Monster energy drinks to CA.

I know. But when there is no incentive for anyone to work anymore, then eventually people will stop being incentivized to develop any skills. Then there will be no one left to do anything requring high skill, and it's over.

the most shocking part of this is that a family of four can survive off of $50/hr in the bay area.

This might not be the fix but something has to be done with wages and how much **** costs in this country. People are like yea it sucks us shouldn't throw billions to ukreaine etc... but the second food stamps get a bump or Medicare for all is proposed its hell on earth from people. Show that same energy when we ship billions overseas

hes not wrong, but its these same crazy policies that has made california unaffordable for the current and future citizens

then it will be "i get paid 50/hr and can't afford my 10k a month single bedroom apartment"

The ironic thing about these progressive types is that they look to Nordic countries for inspiration yet minimum wage does not exist in Norway.

The whole concept is flawed & will only lead to more unemployment as hiring people becomes too expensive. Bernie’s favorite countries know this.
