I've heard great things about HK, I don't think I've ever handled a pistol of their's though.

LEM is basically H&Ks answer to compete with the Glocks before just making a glock (VP9). It's basically a pre cocked hammer that acts like a two stage trigger (like a glock, but longer).

Sounds like you just prefer striker fired to hammer fired. Nothing wrong with that. I don't think that makes a hammer fired trigger necessarily worse (or better) though. It's a different mechanism.
