in which case. don't over complicate it. don't make it hours either or you'll both get bored unless drinks are involved. you already could be fking up by talking too much.

meet for an hour or 2 tops. you are still supposed to be gauging whether you like each other. you don't need 3 or 4 hours for that

so go for a walk or to a museum like you have suggested, or a few games of pool and a drink. it doesn't really matter. if she is into you she will be happy just to see you and do whatever.

really you just want her to do a lot of talking and laughing in a short period of time. and end the date on a high note of feels. so she will want to see you again. and you get to see if you like her

you don't need to blow her away with some amazing plan so early on

Pretty easy for me. First date setup is always coffee or a pub along the beach. Easy to just go for a short walk afterwards.

Don't do fish and chips on the beach tho dawg, seagulls going to try **** your **** up

ok had the date. I got there before her but i couldn't find parking for like 20 minutes downtown, waiting for traffic and hunting but she got a spot first. got to the bar with a decent atmosphere and sat upstairs. we talked up there for a while and I was surprised how quick I lightened up despite what I posted here. I was cool wasn't nervous or worried. a couple times she tried digging into a certain personal past that I did not want to open up to yet, something we discussed previously. I didn't. I tried to do everything right you know, let her talk and try not to gloat about myself which I didn't. only simple short stories. she told me I'm sheltered. I'm sheltered. I don't know everything because I did everything by my fukin self. she figured out i was into conspiracy theories lol and found out I'm into dark things, such as my music and general taste. ok so what. apparently she knows the new black jake from sate farm. woohoo idgaf. Plans WERE quick drink and bowling. but she wanted to eat. Ok...so we walked down the street to a good place but stopped inside an art gallery for a couple minutes first. after this I got the feeling she was subtly trying to take over. it was not obvious but I could tell from small hints. again I let her talk. I did my best to avoid dull questions but idk it's a first date guys. i thought it was going normal. we are about 30 miles apart so she tells me she will be in my town tomorrow and if we vibe well she'll give me a call. I parked not far from her but it was in another lot so she offered to drive me there. she gave me the quickest hug and kiss, went in her car and told me to text her when I got home. that I did and her response was not promising right off the bat. "Nice. Hope you have a good night."
no call or text today. I firmly believe she doesn't want to pursue anything.

You are right. Girls live on their phone. The good news is, who gives a fuk? Sounds like a completely normal first date. More first dates will go like this than the contrary. I think you handled this first date just fine. From what I'm reading here, I get the impression that certain things she was doing during the date annoyed you. I'm not one for cell phones so that kinda crap would drive me nuts.

Doesn't sound like you should be dating. You have to understand that sometimes, time and energy will be invested, and it will lead to nothing. A girl ghosting you after a first date actually isn't that bad man. She could have just dragged it out, played games, had you take her out to dinner a few times.... knowing all along she's disinterested.

It's an endless road until it isn't.
