I agree that there is obviously an issue with the system and how it allows corruption to run rampant. One thing you always say though, is that republicans and democrats are all exactly the same and moving towards the same goals. And when I counter by pointing out the long list of drastic differences in how conservative areas and liberal areas responded and governed during the pandemic you never seem to respond. Just thought I’d point that out again, since the difference between how FL treated citizens during the pandemic and how CA treated citizens during the pandemic was very VERY different.

They want us to focus on abortion, and the pandemic, Antifa, and Trump, and immigration, because then we are not talking about the one thing we all agree on.


They are stealing our money. That matters so that is what I focus on.

Sure, and I think it’s important that people focus on common ground so that more momentum can be gained in order to move in a better direction. What do you think is the best approach for moving forward? I mean, I live in SC where taxes are lower and I have more freedom in many ways(though less in others). My governor was also one of the first to say he wasn’t going to accept anymore federal aid with regards to paying people to sit on their ass due to the pandemic(much longer than they should’ve been paying…which is a perfect example of the stealing money you talk about). He promised to push back against the initiative to mandate the injection that Biden was pushing, and asked any state employee who felt pressured by their employer to report it to a state agency to make sure no one felt like they had to get it here as a stipulation of employment. He opened schools as quickly as possible(without mandates) so that citizens weren’t paying teachers salaries while they received no service for it. The list goes on and on…so other than making sure I try my best to live in areas like this, and continue to promote people who take this kind of approach, what else can I do. What do you do? Not saying that in a condescending way(just read the sentence and realized it could come across that way). I do appreciate your dedication to pointing out the issues so that’s one thing. Just wondering what it’s like in your area and what you think can be done to make it better.

Honestly look at the leaflet of pretty much any prescribed medication & you will see the list of risks covers pretty much everything from mild rashes, to organ failure, to Myocarditis, to death & they often give you a statistical likelihood of the various side effects-such as rash is 1 in 100, stopping breathing is 1 in 250,000 etc.

This makes it clear data as has happened for the last three odd years is being misrepresented by the likes of Brand, Jones, the various halfwits on the Rogan show etc-either for money, or because they are ignorant cretins who believe whatever Trump, Jones, Brand etc spout for cash.

Well, we disagree that there is no opposition. There is pushback between the two sides(as well as differences between how to approach the world), as I’ve already highlighted earlier in this thread. I do agree that the system seems too powerful at this point, and that to an extent the system itself if flawed in that by its very nature it would always drift this way. This is one of the faults of capitalism. It isn’t accurate to call it “crony capitalism” anymore than the when the left constantly says the terrible atrocities carried out by communist regimes “aren’t real communism”. But there are forces trying to push our world in a more positive direction, and some of them are in positions of power. It is easy to take a defeatist attitude, and I agree with your approach of embracing elements of stoicism to navigate this crazy world. I would just also advise to keep your head up as best as possible. I know you try to be a positive force in the world so I guess just remember that you have more impact than you think. Telling the truth helps the world more than we think, and telling lies hurts more than we think.
