What I hate at fancy places is that usually the portions are small, which is BS when you're paying top dollar. Like $25 for a small cube of tuna with some puree around it and maybe a leaf of basil. Then the entree comes and it's one chicken thigh with a small salad and some more puree that costs $45 because they put dots of other stuff around it.

Speaking of this. I went to a two Michelin and ate some wild chit across 12 different taster courses or so.

Not a single stomach issue. No bloating or gurgling or nothing.

This really impressed me cos I felt like I put all sorts of things into my body that night, no homo.

I make (400ml) bolognese sauce and with the (125g when dry) pasta, it comes to less then £3 per meal, for a huge meal that's about 1,300 cals and is one of the nicest meals I have ever tasted. It take a lot of preparing, 5 hours cooking it, 48h maturing it in a fridge but it's worth it if you make 10 meals in one big pan and freeze it.

I have to agree. I get better food than most fine dining places every day of the week at home. I've been to Michelin rated restaurants and while the food was good, it was not worth the price.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

If you tell a girl sorry babe I can’t afford to eat out anymore at these fancy places.

The absolute best food in the entire state of Arizona is about $25/meal.... And it's a BBQ place .... So yes op, I agree.

Also, some basic taco shops can outclass a real restaurant in pure flavor by a wide margin.

Greek/Mediterranean places are also sometimes incredible.

I mean obviously particularly if you have a HTC girlfriend because that three hundred dollar steak is going to be inhaled and rapidly converted by her internal organs into a remarkably voluminous olfactory assaulting mahogany flatulence ferret and out of pure spite she will probably withstand hours of forceful turtleheading to wait and deposit it in your home lavatory toilet thus creating a clog that will require several hours of aggressive plungering with your cannibal corpse live in Miami 1995 tshirt pulled up over your nose and of course when you do finally emerge victorious you will have to wave your hand back and forth and shout do not go in there wooooo

I for one dont like fine dining either…not about the food, not about the service, not about the price…for me its the atmosphere

Some fine dining places have good atmospheres but a lot of times I go out to socialize with randos, can’t do that in those places…everybody is isolated to their tables

Agreed. Went a few years ago to try dry aged steaks and was my girl's bday.
Was actually a very nice experience.
Aside from that though, wouldn't go back. A bit too overpriced, plus the time investment of going to a sit down restaurant is usually overlooked.

That's also why men don't go crazy for fine dining as much as females. Man's time is more valuable, while females spend their days scrolling ig/tiktok or some retarded ****

**** I got like 3 dinners I gotta go to in the next week or so and all I wanna do is stuff my face and dip out asap to do the 100 things I gotta do
