Given your thread title, that would mean they're wearing out 1850 times faster....

I understand running from an ideological base, but commonsense also must come into it, yes?

You are comparing EV tires wearing out to tires on vehicles with gasoline engines wearing out. The article is comparing EV tire particle pollution vs the pollution coming out of the gasoline engine tailpipe. The exact wording is in the thread title and the article. I can't help it you don't get that...

Article is potato though and im not even an EV guy. It's basically just saying braking systems (on all cars) produces as much of a problem as modern exhaust systems. It's just saying brake dust is now the concern, not exhaust gas. An EV still has traditional friction brakes, which are just as "detrimental" to the environment through comparison to modern exhaust, so you just effectively removed the exhaust output but still have the brake problem.

It's just comparing.
So they're not zero emission?

I guess words don't mean anything anymore.

Seeing how often they burst into flames that actually seems likely.

Lol.

Scam.

I feel like most accepted thought over the last decade has been a scam or con-game but before that I feel the game was more balanced, I feel like the world is out of balance, I'm not talking about what group runs the world but the current world energy.

I can feel it and it feels bad, like something big is about to happen and I don't think it will be for the benefit of the majority, I wish you guys luck(srs).

"Emission" being from a tailpipe. Yes.

However, things like brakes do emit particles. The article is true...literally...that brakes emit as much as a modern engine. But so do the brakes on a car with that modern engine. You've just eliminated the combustion engine on an EV.

It's sort of a testament to how efficient exhaust systems and modern combustion engines have become that the braking systems produce the same amount of pollution.

I predicted it although early. First, they are going to get you to switch, and then they will find a new culprit and tell you that you need to switch again. Each step more restrictive, more expensive, makes you less independent.

My EV uses the same exact tires as a gas car.
