On the drive in to work, there was a man on the side of the road, possibly homeless, maybe in his 40s, clearly having some kind of a mental breakdown. And suffering. All by himself and freaking out. Probably not a soul on the planet that cares on bit about his existence.

All I could think about was, if someone ran him over and turned him into roadkill, the nicest thought anyone would have about him is "get your nasty corpse off of the road and get out of my way"

And when I get to work everyone's making a big deal about the international women's day

Just curious though, what would help have looked like to you? Me picking up a 40 year old man having a mental health crisis who is likely dangerous on the way to work, skipping work and driving home instead, and cooking a meal for him?

There’s no help for that man. There’s no shelters or non profits that support men in that position. There’s plenty for women though!

And your being obtuse. I’m not upset they don’t care about that specific man, but don’t care about any man in that position. And then expect me to support a women’s day, when there’s already overflowing support for women in that position.

I also have called in wellness checks for people on the transit. Probably didn’t help them, but hopefully kept passengers safe

But I can tell you don’t give a chit about the problem. Good day
