Sound's like a dental abscess / infection. If you've been prescribed antibiotics, take them. A good dentist wouldn't remove or root canal a tooth until the infection is under control.

This.^^

I went though this same exact thing a couple summers ago. Was my bottom tooth, last one of the left side in the back. At the same time I had covid so no doc would see me, prescribe, or do anything for me. I suffered for 2 weeks (worst fukin pain ever.) The oral surgeon finally took me in and pulled it infection and all.

I never want to go through that again srs...

The antibiotic will get rid of the infection so you'll feel better just with that. Get a hold of your dentist on Monday and go from there.

Does everyone have a bad dentist? I have had 3 root canals and they were nothing. No bleeding...no swelling. An infected tooth is far worse than a root canal.

If a visible tooth that you could see when smiling/etc...I would have gone root canal. At that point I had been dealing with an infection so I just wanted it gone lol...

If the nerve is dead then that means you have rotting flesh inside your jaw. That's quite bad and usually requires surgery.

Root canals cause more issues than they solve. An implant is better in my opinion.

This. If you have a very bad infection in your dental pulp you would give anything for immediate treatment, in this context a root canal is nothing.

Bro, take the antibiotic. An untreated infection can be deadly. Even if the pain stopped, you don't want to take any chances. Idiots who get their doctor to prescribe antibiotics for every last thing are the ones who build up resistance and have issues. It's not people who take them once in a while for legit infections or even probable infections.

I’m scared now because my 2nd to last molar was killing me for grinding my teeth a lot and biting too hard on that side

Now I don’t bite on that side that much, I have zero pain or swelling

Was it infected and went away? Do I need a root canal? Very scared now will book an appointment with my dentist

But just extract

The pain was already the worst pain I felt last night but warm salt water stopped it


Also any ideas on how to fix my gut issues
Gonna see a functional med doc and do some gut tests such as sibo and h pylori

Fuk these dentist man had a premolar filled last week and I think my bite mite be messed up not 100% sure though I hate the fukin dentist the premolar didn’t even hurt it Just showed on the X-ray I had a deep “cavity”

I hope this tooth I just filled doesn’t have this same fate wtf
