I have never seen any ratings for directors or actors, only the films & tv series themselves. Even if that is true it would be an appalling indictment of the people voting to have him ahead of Hitchcock, Bergman, Welles, Scorcese, Spielberg, Capra, Huston, Wilder, Allen, Powell, Kurosawa, Fellini, Renoir, Truffaut etc.

Hard agree OP. Two times I watched it, and still I don't see what everyone else sees in this movie.
Hoistin' heavy-ass s**t since 2006.
Hoist to get'em moist crew.
Raw hoister crew.

The pacing was weird. The entire first half of the movie felt like the "3rd act" build up to the final scene so when the bomb finally dropped I was ready for the movie to end...only to realize that moment was only half way through the movie with all the court proceedings.

It kept me engaged because of the good acting through.
