Stick to the topic, the media knowingly took Trumps words and is trying to incite unsubstantiated fear by manipulating the context of what Trump said. This wasn't the media reporting on what Trump said to show their viewers the situation or even making a mistake. This was actual propaganda.

The Biden administration's statement is NOT an opinion piece. This is what they are stating is news. Whether Trump is making false claims is not the issue here, the issue is with the media.
You’re talking about a media that knew the whole Russian collusion thing was bullsh!t yet spent years screaming at their audience about how Trump was a Putin puppet.

The same media who pushed the fine people hoax for years.

The same media who told people Trump said they should inject bleach.

The list goes on and on.

They treat their viewers like retards, and sadly they are often correct in that assumption.

Adding "the country" was out of context to his comments about a supposed "auto industry" bloodbath.

It was Trump himself who made the out of context comment and is what the media is running with. All while Trumpers are working on Trump's behalf trying to steer the narrative back to car manufacturing (while also ignoring the retarded 100% tariff claim).

Fun stuff.

I'll re-iterate, again, for you.

This isnt an issue on whether Trump made a BS campaign promise. This is about the media manipulating Trumps words to portray those words in a completely different manner.

Nobody is ignoring the 100% tariff claim, this thread is about accountability of the media, in which you clearly dont think is necessary. I think youre wrong.

This might be worse than when they clipped him talking about MS13 gang members 5-6 years ago and claimed he was talking about all hispanics. I know people who fell for that one. If the comments section and Twitter users are ethering these half-tards that are lying, that's excellent. A few Boomers like my parents will never see more than the disinformation headlines, so the propaganda works on some people. I hope overall it blows back in their faces HARD as the majority of people discover the hoax.

The media accountability ship sailed decades ago though. So we play the ball (LOL) under the rules as they are today.

Many will look the other way at Trump's sloppy speaking style, or even praise him for being frank and telling it like it is. I actually like it too, it's a nice change from predictable political speak. If we're going to accept it we also have to accept taking the good with the bad.

Whatever he meant, it wasn't wasn't clear. In the midst of a speech about cars, he literally blurted out "bloodbath for the country", and now has to accept the consequences of it. We disagree but I don't see it as that big of a deal.

Trump was not talking about spilling blood with his political opponents. Theres no debate here. That's what the media wanted to portray.

So like I said, you dont care about media accountability (whatever your reasons) and I do. In there lies our disconnect.

A good sized factor of my voting habits are determined by who feels the need to spit out propaganda the most, and in todays case/overall the left wins this one by a large margin. I really would like you to post something you actually believe to be equivalent the right wing news media does to this and hold them accountable as well.. I really just dont see it and I do look for it.

You keep missing the point. This isnt "taking a little heat." (I see youve been taking notes from the media)

This is about reporting this as factual when they know it's not. The fact that you think he's simping instead of holding the media accountable is very, very hypocritical and even possibly worse, projection of your own simping for the media.

I look forward this "Meh its whatever, the media sucks" attitude if we ever get to see some blatant propaganda that hurts the Biden campaign. In that case, we'll both actually agree that it was wrong.

I 1000% agree he didn't literally mean spilling blood and the media is riffing on the insurrection theme.

Which, is a theme related to claims of a stolen election, and I guarantee I can (you could too if you wanted) find a bunch of examples of right wing media spewing absurd propaganda bullchit related to the last election. It will devolve into arguing over sources being "real" right wing media or if it is "equivalent" or not. None of it will ever be exactly the same and who the fuk knows what right and left really is unless we only focus on the extremes. I don't have patience for that, and the OP is better at it anyways.

We both already agree it is wrong.

I think the difference is recognizing that we will never again have the media accountability that we think is right, if we ever truly did have it. It's an impossibility at this point so I don't see how it should be a central point of discussion.

Not only that, but Trump doesn't have the entirety of the media willingly parroting his lies as facts.

If one is a (D) voter you will have to willingly search for an "alternate" media source to learn the truth about this. The (D) know their voters will not do that, so because of that, as long as the MSM protects them and gives them cover, they can spew whatever they want.

This is State sponsored propaganda.

The far left/woke movement lies about things because they know if they talked facts?

They would have nothing that would appeal to most of the world.

The amount of water these braindead Trumpers carry for their favorite politician is fuking pathetic. He always gets the benefit of the doubt from them, he's always treated unfairly. They play mental gymnastics to justify everything he says. It's hilarious that they can't see they are cultists.

My concern is Biden will do something that will require martial law like strike some Russian forces and forcing Russia to retaliate. This would suspend elections and obviously bring us into a world war.

Or the birther claims, or Ted Cruz's dad being involved in the JFK assassination, or Trump being against the Iraq war, or the numerous other bull****.

But they don't want Trump held to the same standard they want their media held too. Just a very low IQ bunch.

But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors.
