Moved to a completely new country in my mid/late twenties. Some of the friends I made here include
- Neighbours I met in the elevator
- Random dudes I saw work out at the local playground
- People I've met randomly going out

I wouldn't necessarily it's easier but it's still doable.

Not my game, but I know some people who just show up at the gym, go into the basketball court, chat it up with anybody and offer to sub in for someone needing to leave or take a break. Eventually leads to making new friends sometimes srs.

Honestly I think a lot of 30 years olds are avid video gamers, so just chatting with people at the bar, gym, can lead to time spent after those occasions via online gaming. Odds are more in your favor if you got a PC since it'd cover being able to play with people on Xbox too.
