Is he just seeing what he can get away with at this point? There's a limit to what can be claimed under free speech. Eventually he will put his foot in it and say something he shouldn't have. He has said dozens of things that would land ordinary people in jail or contempt of court.

These are the actions of a childish bully. He's been a rich and privileged bully for his entire life without having to really utilize any negotiation or social skills. If someone challenges him his default is acting like a bully.
