So you can ask questions and make demands, but can't answer questions nor clarify your demands?

At least you got some name calling in there

You claimed we haven't evolved yet for Communism to work, yet it's human nature to want to be better, and rise above their station. Which doesn't happen under Communism.

I said I believe evolution of human nature is requisite for Marxism to be possible. Evolution beyond self-interest.

It seems like you might agree

It’s crazy the biggest supporters of communism are also those that are the biggest drain on the economy & country as well.

Man, most people in any competitive company would abuse the hell out of whatever leverage they can get. What makes you think that those people won’t just migrate over to government positions when it is in their best interests? They are professionals at following the money, and the only thing stopping them right now is the fact that there’s usually better financial incentives in the private sector.

Under a communist or Marxist system, there wouldn't be a government.

The idea of self-governed workers sounds unstable and unsustainable. Many commodities aren’t intrinsically valuable based on their utility, they are valuable because of their scarcity. People will always want more than their neighbors. People will always look for loopholes and substructures to abuse and undermine a system where the good nature of the average citizen, or a congregation of citizens, is a necessity.

It just seems out of touch with reality to me.

Yeah, I wasn’t really arguing against any point you made, just elaborating. This might be the first thread in R&P I’ve seen where posters appear to generally agree.

Unless ones self interest involves being shot in the back of the head and dumped into a mass grave.

Pragmatically speaking? If I were to speculate, when human labour for anything outside of entertainment is entirely obsolete, then private ownership of the means of production is obsolete too. All of the factors of production being automated and accessible to everyone as they need. That would be a genuine post-scarcity society or as close as possible to one in a finite sized planet.

That's the only hypothetical scenario under which it would make sense, namely because capitalism would make zero sense under such a scenario. Whether that's science fiction or an inevitably reality based on our trajectory is up for further speculation.

Talk about idealism. "Hurr durr muh ideas are flawless if the entire nature of humans changes dramatically for no reason."

How about something that works with humans as we know them, not humans as we idealize them. People have never been ideal.

Of course it is, that's why leftists always try to eliminate the individual whenever possible. To them it's all about mob mentality.

What you are arguing for right now goes against what has been observed in all things that live in nature. All living things prioritize their own self-interests, it's a survival mechanism. For someone who is trying to talk about concepts like evolution, that is literally one of the most universal evolutionary concepts. I mean take plants for example, many have evolved to have defensive properties that harm other living things that could harm them. If plants had no reason to prioritize self-interest that would have never happened, they would have never developed defensive properties, for the greater good of everything around them. Then look at animals, threaten and corner them and they will all act in self defense in some way or the other. Nothing that lives could have survived without these instincts and developments, it's a product of evolution. Only though complete isolation can defensive developmental needs lessen in priority, but that opens them up to being destroyed by any foreign invader. Even then, all things evolve around self-sustenance which is a form of self-interest.

It seems like you and most commies expect humans to somehow evolve, a concept that takes many thousands of years, all of a sudden to somehow lack everything we know about the nature of living things.
