Did I ever mention "I love this stuff".

Wayne!

I love it too bro, nothing gets my wheels turning more than space facts.

The irony of the 'freezing' perception?

If one's space suit leaksone does not freeze to death.
"The oxygen starts expanding and rupturing your lungs, tearing them apart — and that would cause boiling and bubbling of your blood, which immediately will cause embolism and have a fatal impact on your body,"
In about 15 seconds or so it's over.

I love learning about space stuff, but I take anything they say about stuff they discover in other solar systems and other galaxies and stuff with a huge grain of salt. Those telescopes are showing a speck of light about a pixel big and they come up with all this stuff based of how it twinkles. We can barely get decent pictures of stuff in our own galaxy. All the photos they release are enhanced because they use super long exposure times and just assign colors to stuff the human eye can't actually see.

Very interesting to think about. At that distance, you're basically looking back in time, right? I think the headline is a bit misleading, wouldn't it be more accurate to state this existed 12 billion years ago? I would assume the water has long since been consumed by the blackhole or otherwise dispersed... but who really knows?
