What makes you think nobody got shot during Katrina? They literally had dudes take shots at people in rescue boats and said dudes in rescue boats had to return fire on them. NOPD got busted for murking dudes in an unlawful fashion as well. I know a fairly higher up in the Louisiana National Guard that denies guardsmen engaged/killed anyone. But who knows if that's true.


There were over 1300 dead in a city with no power and no infrastructure. Bodies with bullet holes got tossed into the same trucks as those that drowned. Nobody investigated anything. The only people that got busted for homicide were the cops that got caught with the Danziger Bridge shooting. But they were just the unlucky ones. It was not an isolated incident.


Plenty of people shooting at each other in the aftermath of Katrina.
