The Androgen Receptor (AR) is activated by a ligand. A ligand is a chemical structure that attaches to the receptor on the outside of the cell, causes a conformational change to the protein, and then sends a signal into the cell through a variety of means. In the case of an AR, once activated on the outside, the inside detaches, becomes what is known as a 'transcription factor' and moves into the nuclear to promote gene expression/regulation.

The idea is for the SERM to target muscle cells and bone-cells (osteoblasts), but not prostate cells or hair follicles, for example.

Based on most (almost all) reports from bodybuilders, SERMS are not effective at purely building muscle whilst not affecting overall testosterone production.

The only reason i am posting about this, is because the topic was brought up and I like to educate people on why taking experimental chemicals isn't always the best idea - and neither is it a good idea to take 'approved' compounds like ostarine, thinking they are side-effect free.

Based on anecdote, taking a cycle including tren and deca is more harmful than just test or anavar, but they still shut you down.

Also I accidentally wrote SERM in place of the intended term, SARM. Please take this into consideration if you're going to utilise that information.
