But yeah, I think for this boat it's a 150lb average, but it can handle 2-3x that. 16 full grown men are not a problem in this thing.

I have 3500# of ballast on order, and it has 1400 built in, plus a power wedge that is equivalent to 1200# of ballast when deployed.

Will take pics of surf wave when I get it all installed and out on the lake.
wtf is ballast? like your just adding a chit ton of weight for stability? The f is your MPG gonna be?

Sinking the boat makes a bigger wave.

At normal use I think the engine sucks about 6GPH. When out for the day the boat might be on for 3-4 hours. So, I may use 20-25 gallons. It holds 80 gallons.

I took it out Saturday and went about 50 miles down the Colorado river and around Lake Havasu and back. Most of the time it was at WOT 45+ mph and I burned about 20 gallons. We were out there for about 3 hours, so 6GPH sounds about right.

On my other boat I use about 15 gallons for a full day, but again the engine is only running half the time so it burned about 4 GPH.

so about $100 in gas each day you take it out. Adds up but sounds like you are super into it. Enjoy it in good health.

I've only owned 3 boats….first was an outboard for rec use (gone), Pro Craft bass boat (still have), and a Bennington Toon (still have)

Took her out Saturday. I don't have my surf prop or ballast yet, so I just threw on a couple of surfgates (using two allows you to use less ballast) to form a wave. Even stock ballast it makes a bigger wave than my little ski boat. I almost ran into the back of the boat several times because I'm not used to it. Not a problem I've had before.

I put 40 gallons of gas in and only used an 1/8th of a tank at most, which is about 10 gallons. Added 2.5 hours to the dial. So less than 5GPH.

Better than expected Very pleased with the purchase.
