Never understood why there is so much hate for people because they are rich. Rich people provide the road of opportunity and often are very generous and help more people than any poor person. If rich people were the problem, then Communist countries would succeed. Commies believe that rich people, or really anyone having more is the problem, then wonder why things stagnate into depression and everyone is destitute. I'm not rich by any means, but no bum ever gave me a job or did anything beneficial in my life.

One was an investment banker of exactly the type (and company) that cost the global economy $2 trillion.. or every American taxpayer $70,000

The other appeared to have got away with a $9 billion fraud.

However, we should hate the system and those who control it which allows people to do this. There is a reason why politicians come in, many of them broke, and are millionaires in a relatively short time.

Yeah if you read the article an inflatable raft was used. The boat capsized before anyone knew what was happening.

You asked why I hate the mega rich that’s why. The vast majority, not the people you read about in the papers, but the vast majority of the super rich are private equity/ hedge fund guys. They build and create nothing they simply gamble, and when it goes wrong, the rest of us pick up the tab.

And of course, I also deplore the politicians that enable this. And the witless electorate who vote for them
