I started getting into it around 10.75 early in May (can't remember exactly the level/when) and it dropped as low as 7.17, definitely had be clinching my butt a bit, but I just kept buying it as it dropped, so my CWA now is 8 and change, and it currently sits at 9.80.

While I do see the Nasdaq dropping below 15,000, staying in SQQQ becomes too risky at some point as a snapback rally could really wipe me out with no hope of recovering my losses, so I'll trim some position in it taking some profit and deploy money to a safer short-position asset.

All I hold right now is SQQQ, NKE, and XOM, with about 40% in cash plus whatever my 401k is doing.

I'd like to see the Russell2000 pull back to 2000 at which point I'll enter long there.
My finance bro at work invests in that ETF for shorts. Index bros say to never do it. So I won't, let alone a 3x leveraged one.

This still isn’t even in correction territory (10% drawdown from a recent high) for the S&P, could be considered a correction in the NASDAQ but tough considering how high stocks had flown recently

S&P was down 30% in a month when COVID hit

You always want to buy low when fear is high but still recommended to know a lot about the industry/company you’re buying

Now might not be a bad time to start nibbling but history suggests there could be more pain to come. Interest rates seem to be biting now almost 2.5 years after the Fed first started hiking. Interest rate changes act with long and variable lags, so even when the Fed starts cutting it could be another 2 years before the economy feels it and that stretch of time would historically present the best buying opportunities.

Starter positions are great for a dead cat bounce. Or who knows perhaps things go back up.

But housing about to crack even rentals there are more available now than any time in the last 10 years here. They gonna start dropping prices and once you get deflation on the books for housing it’ll all start coming apart in a hurry. Not a huge deal for stocks, but job losses will be. Economic activity has peaked and will likely decelerate for some time primarily thanks to housing remaining flat or dropping. Next comes construction spending. If I had to guess new start applications will see a dramatic move in the next few months.

I mean if all you have is $1 does it matter if you have $0.94 or $1.04 when the market closes? Poors dont understand these things it doesn’t impact their food stamps. Which is why you simply don’t pay them attention.

Hold on. We are canceling corrections now? Markets don’t go up and down anymore? Only up in a straight line? It’s not possible to have a correction or several corrections as in any other year and still make strong moves up by years end?

In fact in one interview he said possible correction(s) are normal and obviously possible but generally up longer term.

Why can’t there be both?

I did the math and proportionally it’s be 3,000 impacted here if the 15% layoff number was applied to their workforce in the area, there are no large competitors in the area so I figured they’d have to move away

That's the problem with companies getting too big in a smaller area. Local economies can get wrecked. Similar thing happened here, but there were enough jobs to go around cuz the economy was so strong here.

Intel was a big company in the 90s, like top 10 for profitability looking at the Fortune 500 from that year

https://money.cnn.com/magazines/fort...ive/full/1997/

It’s not like it was flat this whole time though, the mistake would have been not selling anything in 2000 when it ripped hard. There will be opportunities to sell in the future too.

Wouldn’t have done well if you bought any number of the top companies in 1997 and just held, lots of these companies on the 1997 Fortune 500 are flat or down since then. Walmart is up 1000%, but that’s still not crazy performance for 30 years of holding. The biggest most valuable companies today aren’t even on this list.

Makes you wonder who will be the biggest and most valuable 30 years from now, will it still be Apple / Microsoft / NVIDIA / Amazon / Google / Meta? Seems unlikely.

Big boys hunting the bitcoin leveraged retards Izreili something, they literally go to a dollar to get all the retards liquidated, then go after the shorts, and then go after the longs, then go after the shorts again, it’s incredible.

And sometimes they actually go after both of them in a very short period of time with the darth maul candle.
