By absolute low I mean a low leading to a significant bounce that threatens a return to ATHs or an actual break of ATHs.

If I entered through ~440 and it bounced significantly, I would be scanning for a drop 24/7 to try to get ahead of it.
Thanks man.

But you're confident we go quite a lot lower this year?

I feel like an idiot, since 2018 I have had around 50k sitting in a Bank of America saving account just losing value. I always heard that I should invest into an index fund and that keeping that money in savings account was dumb, but I was always too lazy to do any research on investing. I finally opened a fidelity brokerage account last month and bought some stocks in different companies including 366 shares in ASTS at 12.80 after I saw it mentioned in this thread a couple of pages ago, I sold them at 20. I have lost money on other stocks but I am still up $900 even though I have no clue what I am doing lol, most of the time I don’t even understand the post in this thread. All I know is to stay away from options.

I bought at 28 about 20 minutes after the earnings report and watched it cool down immediately. Hasn't reached the post earnings high until just now.

No clue, I only remember he made good $ because that was his entire portfolio

Anyways had some calls on DOCS earnings today, looks like it went well. Last earnings was good too but it keeps fading back into the $20s

Holding 600 shares of BITO now, didn’t want this much exposure to Bitcoin but the price keeps tanking I have no choice but to average down, it’s the only stock that’s red in my portfolio but I’ve collected around 4k in dividends since the beginning of the year

Covered my TLT CSP at $62 for 40% gain on a trade I made yesterday. Still holding cc and shares. I’ll probably reopen tomorrow at $100 again the way bonds are trading.

Wba is a dumpster fire and I’m fukking here for it boyos. Their primary care clinics defaulted on a 2.25b facility loan provided by WBA lmao they are closing a ton of clinics because whoda thunk primary care isn’t profitable. To make matters worse WBA just priced 750m in notes for 2029 at 8% so they can retire their 2024 notes that were at 3.8% LMAO.

Watching BITO just because I could use some crypto exposure.

Otherwise not much else happening today. Fairly steady day without much in the way of news or earnings surprises.

Yes but I'm not super-confident about it lol, that's why I said get in early, I think it's about a 60% chance of ~500.

I would be more confident if I didn't expect a lower CPI next week, I think that could move us higher.

We are still below key levels though, you also have PPI and retail sales which will move markets.

I still have a lot of individual stocks on my watch-list that have not hit targets yet.

NVDA is still weak and I have a $75 target possible lol.

NVDA reports earnings 8/28.

Other bearish points about the market is the yen, unemployment and fed rate cuts.

None of these issues have been resolved yet.

The government might even revise lower.

a dividend paying ETF is not how you want to get into crypto, in my opinion there are only four tickers worth considering: bitcoin, Solana, clean spark, micro strategy, recently Mara made a couple of strategic moves that make it worth considering too.

Bito it’s a classic dividend trap, you’re going to get a couple of hundred bucks only to lose them to stock depreciation, and Things like clean spark or even spot bitcoin Will outperform you.

You buy micro strategy during a dump, it goes up literally 30% one day after, you’re never going to get anything remotely resembling this from any ETF or a dividends stock.

in dollar terms look at the price of gas or Milk 10 or 30 years ago, what do you think the price will be in 10 years from now? That’s it, that’s all you need to know, they are printing money, which will make your stocks go up in price assuming you are investing only in Profitable great businesses. nothing can change this, not nuclear explosions, not world wars, not financial Armageddon, not depressions, nothing can change that. The shorts always lose in the end.

In fact, from a technical standpoint, when you see that large volume red bar, a.k.a. capitulation, that’s when you have to buy, that’s not when you sell and listen to the bull**** you’re being fed in the media, while you’re spreading fud the big boys were buying while retail was selling in the last few days.

It seems you missed the part where I said buy early, I just said I've been buying calls all week just not on NVDA, before that I said I sold my puts on BROS with a week left until expiration lol.

You are talking long-term trends and I mostly agree but we are going through a short-term move in the markets right now so I was talking about that lol.

Lastly, we are already in long-term deflation, inflation only looks bad because we're living through it but we'll be praying for inflation in the future lol.

You member what happened last time it went below the 0 line?

What about the times before that?

What happened then?

The way people go bankrupt is they believe something with 100% certainty.

It seems like you are saying you can't even think of a way where the fed could not stimulate the economy through money printing.

If we enter another period of huge deflation then you are on track to the breadlines, it's possible and I'll explain it to you in a way that I know you will understand since you love tech stocks, technology will be a part of the reason that the fed can't stimulate the economy if they fail and I think you understand why.

If it's going to go up then it's going to be stretching their market cap relative to their actual numbers.

This Microsoft deal pertains to their government business. It fuels the sentiment because they are becoming adjacent as standout AI firms. Their growth is going to be squarely tied to their commercial revenue growth though.
