getting in and getting a second cardio session in this afternoon. My first sub-10 min mile since I started cardio again.
a half day at work today.
guy night with the boys this evening. The new Jungle Book is starting. Yeah buddy.
my work reimbursing me for the row machine I'm about to purchase.
all the time home I've had lately.
I'm grateful for...

Did some cardio and squats although I wasn't in the mood for working out today. Long week and I'm pretty exhausted so strength wasn't really there but something is better than nothing!

Today I'm grateful for...
...finally making it back to the gym after an illness, shoulder injury requiring PT, a work trip across the country, and a busy-azz time at work. This has been a big setback, but I'll charge ahead. Always do.
...the days finally getting longer. Nice to get home from work and have a bit of light left in the sky.
...a Spring break in the Caribbean in a week and a half. Won't be in great shape for it, but warm is warm - tight muscles or not.

Grateful for
-My family. They've been checking up on me since I'm still terribly sick 24/7.
-My parents. They may not be in the best of health but they still make time to do a lot for the food-bank and pantry they support. Their garden grew 2.5 tons of produce over 5 years (their house is on an acre). Their dedication to charity is inspiring.
-My daughters teacher. She was nice enough to let my daughter do some extra credit work after I reached out to her concerned about her falling grades in English and math. Thankfully she's been able to bring her grades back up because of this extra work.
-My coworker. She was such a sweetheart yesterday. I had a terrible headache and she drove to her home to bring me Tylenol. I couldn't fine any at work and without it my headache would have escalated into a raging migraine. I appreciated what she did so much.

one thing I'm grateful for at this very moment is meditation. without it i don't know where i'd be. it has helped me so much in every aspect of my life. i sware by it. i will keep meditating until the day i die.

Well, the prognosis as of today is not good for my great aunt. I'm shocked, really, because I had 100% faith that they had caught the brain tumors early and she'd bounce back from the stroke, have the operation, and recover...able to enjoy more time on this earth.
It sounds so naive, typing that out now. But I really believed that it could be fixed. Not so...the brain is such a delicate thing; they say they can't risk operating as her health is deteriorating and she's not strong enough to endure surgery.
I feel so bad for my grandpa, because she's his little sister, and he is suffering silently, worrying about her, but he can't do anything to help. It is really taking a toll on him.
I'm shocked at how fast cancer can take someone away...just three weeks ago, I heard them skyping with each other and laughing. It feels so surreal; like a lifetime ago yet just yesterday that she was in perfect health. I guess in the daily chaos of life, morality is a very, very far-off thought that never crosses your mind, so much so that you end up operating on the false belief that you have forever; all the time in the world-but you don't.
Looking back, I'm grateful they spent so much time talking & skyping, despite living thousands of miles apart. You never know when you're going to get unexpected news like this; don't take the time you have with loved ones for granted.
The lesson I'm learning is how finite time truly is, and how critical it is to use that time while you still have it. In the end, that's what matters most.
I pray she's not in pain...the rest is in God's hands.

-Getting back to my faith community, and finding like minded friends to support me as I shed 30 years of baggage.
-Finally have a few $ in my pocket again. I hit a downward spiral just as my family left me on my owm- It got rough for awhile.
