Probably just say I have to go to the bathroom, then go to the bathroom for like 2-3 minutes, come back out and sit somewhere away from him. Still messed up but it be hard for me to say I don't feel like talking to an old person. But in general situations/conversations I'd just say I have somewhere to be or have to take a call.
