This is why energy independence is particularly important. High oil/gas prices are a political and economic risk to the US but a boon to OPEC's members, so why would OPEC damage their own finances to benefit the US? I don't care for politics, but the geopolitical side of this stuff is somewhat interesting.

The disparity between oil company valuations and free cash flows will create a great opportunity for buybacks on the cheap

As for why Oil dropped.

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/16/oil-...ina-covid.html
"The market had dropped more than 3% earlier in the session after data showed Chinese factory output and retail sales growth slowed sharply in July, missing expectations, as flooding and fresh outbreaks of COVID-19 disrupted business activity."
Except Trump didn't prevent pipelines from being built. He didn't cancel/stop leasing drill permits. He didn't threaten to make producing oil unprofitable. I'd rather see American companies utilizing our resources to generate wealth and energy independence than drive our drillers under and then be stuck begging OPEC to drill more when it hurts too bad.

Obviously oil dropping has nothing to do with Biden being president and more to do with supply/demand expectations. Although you could argue American companies won't see nearly the investments they potentially could because politics are incredibly unfavorable for them. Hence I've exclusively bought Canadian companies.

WISH seems to be in constant crash mode lately. The 52w low just keeps getting lower. They crashed right through the recent resistance.

Maybe below 6 I’ll buy. Maybe.

SPRT has 60% SI and low float. This could be a good opportunity. Don’t know if it has the right following for a good run though.

Edit: nvda, I’m a “long term investor” now. Eating my words lmao. It will still bounce back up today though I believe. About to sell some Bitcoin as much as I hate to to buy more nvda for my retirement account.

Thanks Nvidia, it has been a beautiful day.

My oil calls from earlier wrecked. 1 straight week down 1-3% daily. It’s at the bottom of the daily RSI and usually bounces when it’s this low. Might try a 0 DTE tomorrow, if it goes up a dollar then those would be +300%. Worried that all the action will happen pre market again though

No chance.

Nobody is catching Apple / Microsoft / Amazon / Google

Also in terms of gpu space everything runs through TSM.

NVDA and AMD will never be able to make anything without TSM.

The company I work for just tried to buy some Nvidia cards. Order wasn't filled. Had to pay like 130% higher price for the same card.
