On a side note: 3 months+- in since i put my first payment into BTC, I can officially say I've 2.25x my initial investment from trading btc alone damn it feels good not as quick as some of you that 5x and so on but I am making progress from taking advantage of the rises and drops managed to raise my stack as well substantially since loosing a but of value down the line when i was a complete noob, and I have this thread and insight from all of the posters in this thread to thank, defs a 5* thread(s) in my book. I'm growing more confident and would like to start getting in on the alt action but still weary lol.

Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

At that time they probably didn't have major backing from Cisco, Microsoft, Volkswagen, Samsung etc. so a bit of a gamble, props to the guy for scouting it out though.

It probably is for ETH, but it's already double Ripple's market cap and is closing in on BCH. Who knows what will happen? Occupying no 2 spot is not an impossibility.

No doubt. It almost comes across as a blockchain killer. I haven't had my time to research it so im not going to blindly throw money at it. Im almost certain its not going to run out of steam soon either.

Im waiting for the collapse. This is absolutely insane. 20B to almost 400B in less than a year. The only use we have for crypto right now is largely to speculate on its value. Working user or enterprise use cases are almost non existent.

Its almost as if you have a product where the function is a feature not a necessity, and you have it in a covered box. You go to sell someone the product, and they hand you the cash before they can even see whats inside of it or you can tell them whats inside of it.

Withdraw IOTA to where?

have you figured out how to use an IOTA paper wallet?

if so, how?

I mean the whole generate a seed thing isn't too hard but I read that to then access your iota you type your seed into the lite wallet, as soon as you do that it's just gonna be broadcast across the interwebs right? like that seems stoopid for anyone who doesn't have a completely safe pc (which is literally everyone)

from what i understand, you dont have to connect your wallet to the tangle. you can just send the iota to your address and it will float around the tangle till you need it

I cancelled it once, then I executed it again and it gave me a Cloudflare offline page - this time the IOTA did not leave my wallet so I assume it didn't go through at all. There is no withdrawal on my withdrawal page either for the second attempt. The tangle is definitely online and blazing fast on my wallet - can attach, view stuff at will.

IOTA has made a lot of people rich in just a few weeks.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. You're not meant to type it in apparently, it's meant to be "pasted". I generated a seed on the IOTA HTML entropy generator thing, then converted it into a QR code for printing a paper wallet. I stored the seed itself in an encrypted document on a secure hard drive.

Honestly, I think they need to rethink this. There needs to be a second layer of protection, like a password or something. I could mistakenly paste my seed here and get f*cked.
