Morning crew.
Always weary of people filming in general as you know "something" is going to happen, either good, bad, or otherwise.
Another reminder to stay alert.

Is the difference CC'ing a 26 and 19 really that much? It's just an inch or so in length/height but obviously after a couple hours it would make a difference. Currently CC'ing a shield but thinking of getting either a 19 or 26 for a higher round count.

It's a noticeable difference. An inch is a huge difference for concealability.

My two carry guns are an XDS and an M&P9c (same size as 26)

There are times when the 9c is difficult to conceal and prints a little bit more. I don't like carrying the single stack....but there are times it is a necessity

Yes its substantial, especially in a slim fit shirt. Big weight difference as well.

Yes.

Excepting obvious things like parents filming their kids or the animals at the zoo or something, you know, normal and expected given the context...somebody filming = orange, time to figure out who could be with them, keep distance, etc...high potential that ***gotry is afoot

Yeah I was sitting down with it and it took some adjustment but I could see myself doing IWB with the G19 a bit...With a different holster.

This holster for it's main intent being OWB is great though.

I dont think this will apply to many in this thread but I thought I'd share. I was able to compare a couple micro red dots side by side yesterday. Fastfire 3, vortex venom, and vortex razor. I have a FF3 en route from the burris rebate and plan on mounting it on my 22 pistol

The FF3 and venom are almost identical in size and shape. The sight picture is just about identical and both have a bit of slight distortion around the edges. The 3 moa dots were both comparable but the vortex dot seemed a little bit sharper. The FF3 dot was a tiny bit "fuzzier" but if you were shooting outdoors, the difference isn't noticeable. Weight difference was negligible.

The vortex razor was a different animal, as shown in the price difference. Little to no distortion around the edges, nice sharp dot, and much larger sight picture. I was able to pick up the dot on the razor almost twice as quick when compared to the FF and venom. The razor was just much more enjoyable shooting and getting on target compared to the other 2.

Cllifs: Between the venom and FF3, the venom has a slight edge. If you can get the free FF3 with the rebate then you'd be better off going with that. The venom and FF felt like toys compared to the razor but then again they are half the price.
The razor was excellent but is in the price range of the mid tier micro dots(leupold delta, RMR, etc). Didn't get to compare the razor with any of the other mid tier red dots so I can't say if they are better or equal to the others.

Honestly if it were me, I'd do a 19 to compliment a shield. Makes more sense than another gun the same size that holds 2 more. I have all three though so what do I know.

Shield and G26 aren't really the same size though. As much as the G26 conceals better than the G19, the Shield is even moe better at concealing than the 26...and the 26 with a Magpul 12 round mag conceals almost exactly the same as a flush mag and still noticeably better than the G19, so it's really 4 more rounds (or just think of it as extended mag shield vs extended mag 26, flush for both is 8 rounds vs 11 rounds, and the sight radius and barrel length)

For concealed carry you really need all three to cover most clothing/weather situations, they are distinct.

People underestimate the importance of the single stack not printing while carrying.

I'm truly sick of seeing "I am a 115lb female who EDCs a G34 year around!!! IT ALL BOUT DAT HOSTLER!!!" on social media.

Stop lying you dbags on social media. Carrying a large weapon is fine in the winter but if you're wearing a hoodie with a tactical vest to conceal carry your full size weapon in 95 degree heat, you're lying to yourself if you think you're not throwing up red flags to aware people.

You need multiple weapons, multiple holsters, for multiple types weather if you're not in Alaska year around. It's not some e-dick brag to say you carry a full size weapon year around. It also doesn't count as "EDC" to carry to the range one time a month.

lol

It's pretty funny, all over social media and gun forums I see people proclaim they carry a full size double stack concealed under just a t-shirt and nobody knowsbecause nobody ever says anything...yeah, because people just walk up and say hey I see what looks like a gun under your shirt, thought you should know. lolmao

I carried a VP9 for EDC for over a year including summer, as I've mentioned quite a bit in here (was last summer), but...it printed. If I did much of anything, it printed...it has to, it's a full size gun under a t-shirt. But hey, if you carry a real gun, printing happens from time to time and generally nobody is going to notice, or, if they do, they'll be other carriers, cops, or savvy criminals, not the regular peoplesheeple.

I'm really liking this shield for precisely this reason, which is why I bought it. I can carry it, 7+1, under just a t-shirt and it legit basically doesn't even print under a t-shirt, almost no matter what I do. It's kind of amazing. I go more places more often now (because kids) where I really don't want to play the "okay then I won't come back" card if they make it and ask me to leave or disarm, plus other reasons regarding carrying guns around a lot of kids and libtard reactions and an inability for me to always consider how I move, how I sit, where I sit, if I lean forward at that moment or not...gotta do stuff, gotta move, can't be worried about if that movement will make a big ass pistol handle print through my t-shirt, and not wearing a fishing shirt ALL the time

/ramble

TLDR: You need a Shield, a G26, and a G19. Oh and should probably get a VP9 or PPQ whle you're at it

tmrl

So many "I carry my zev 17 in my $199 trex sidecar rig year around, NO ONE NOTICES!!! I CAN EASILY SIT DOWN AND TIE MY SHOES"

The second part is another lie. They always claim full mobility with these massive holster setups without printing. Just lie after lie. Jason Genova type delusions.

That's why everyone needs a single stack 9mm for multiple types of carry and clothing.

With my slim manlet frame, I can barely appendix carry a single stack in a normal fitting t-shirt without printing. I'm not lying to myself thinking I won't throw any redflags up with my 19 in a normal tee. lol

I wear a tucked-in button up, slacks and a tie no matter the weather to work every day. Concealing the VP9 is no issue. Untucked polos are also not an issue. I don't wear t-shirts except to lift or go to the range, and I don't CC while lifting weights in my garage.

Your clothing, holster decisions, and the size of your gun are going to determine what you can conceal. I've found the VP9 as easy to conceal as my G19 was, which was as easy to conceal as my G26 was. Others will have different experiences.

So you can't carry the vp9 with a normal fitting, non-ghetto looking t-shirt, in summer weather, like we're mentioning. Got it.

SON IF YOU DON'T CARRY TO THE GYM I AM DISAPPOINT. lol

Switched from Pocket Carrying my shield9mm to IWB (Alien Gear)carrying. Living in south Florida 99% of my wear is t-shirts, or a polo w/ Jeans or some sort of shorts.

I will say IWB is much better as far as printing goes, and rarely do I feel like I'm printing. Although I do worry about having to bend over and the back of my shirt coming up and people seeing my pistol... Unless I'm wearing an unusually large T-shirt.

All in all cant imagine carrying a full size double stack even in the winter as we only ever need to wear a hoodie or sweater 3-4 weeks/year. MAYBE
Are you not entertained?
