Don't really get the logic of wanting a gun in case you need it, but think you won't ever get shot at or get shot in return.

No need to get into a theoretical nationwide civil shooting-war to see the value in plates

[QUOTE=NuggzTheNinja post_id=1617612141]It depends if you're willing to cut corners on size...a lot of the plates (longfris from Botach - probably Chinese components) and LAPG plates work well but they're spec'd off. As in the 10x12s aren't really 10x12, they're like half an inch of foam on all sides, that's how they get them so light. Ironically, the Chinesium Botach plates actually use SiC which is the better of the ceramic body armor materials.

With concealability, it's kind of a weird answer. Almost any coat, no matter how thick (unless it's like a puffy winter coat, but even then...) will show the rear plate if you're bending forward. It isn't obvious from far away but from even 10 yards away you can really tell. Otoh, if you're just standing all terracotta soldier nobody can tell what you have under a good winter coat, even if your plates are an inch thick. In this pic I'm wearing 1" polyethylene and ceramic plates, 4 mags, and a smoke grenade.

I know a guy that uses Keepers, he swears by them. I thought about it, since they’re a couple of miles up the road in Moore.

I have some extra guns, thinking of selling. Is this a good time or should I wait and make even more money?

This is probably what I'd sell
Romanian sar-2 no rust. Aftermarket trigger (had slap).
AR15 EA lower, PSA upper that shoots 5.45
15 mags for each
~6500 rounds of 5.45

What's all that worth in these troubled times?
