Long-distance relationships make cutting harder than it might otherwise be. I've actually put on weight, and am now dropping it again; 86.9kg this morning. Post-chest:

First time I have been truly shredded. Shredded bros in here who are looking to lean bulk or maintain, what do you do for carbs? Im trying to lean bulk on only 2400 calories per day and I am noticing that I can go from looking shredded AF in the morning or when carb depleted to fluffy by bed time if I eat 200 carbs per day. Is this normal for nattys? Do you I do something different?

I usually just drop protein to 1g/lb bodyweight, minimize fats and maximize carbs - so a lot of rice, pasta, sweet potato, etc.

Suggestion; if you train them they will pop more when you cut body fat.

That worked for me the day after last show.
The Sunday after I ate potato chips, Lays, and pretzels that have zero fat, Snyders thoughout the day.
The next morning I was full and shredded.

I was like; "Who tf is that in the mirror!"

That was a test plus I had been seeing commercials for the chips the whole of prep week.

I mean how could a man resist?

I usually eat what bb09 mentioned.

So since I've been counting my high carb low carb days and completely cut sugar except Saturdays (today yay) I'm from 196 down to roughly 186 for 12 days. I've decided I'm not concerned about it being muscle for the time being because I had been eating a lot of junk food while bulking like packs of cookies and 3 sprites and stuff. After I get down to the 180 area it should level off and be around normal loss per week.

I've never done anything ab related in like 8 years but I've been doing an ab routine every night for about a month and it seems to be helping (non-weighted). Should I be concerned about adding weighted ab stuff to speed up the process, I feel like my abs wont "pop" much but enjoying how much smaller my waist looks at least flexed for now.

Time for me to join the fun and be part of the shredded family ! I went through the whole thread and it gave me shyteload of motivation.

I am now working from Iran as an expat since two months so it's a whole new reality with other types of food available. Sweets are less good than in Switzerland which makes it easier for me.

Would have to have feedback on my physique. Legs are lagging, i got injured playing tennis, will be back.

I like the logic of not setting a predefined goal in terms of weight but just go until satisfied.

Edit: this is right after training and I'm flexing abs

Great condition to be in to start the acquisition of The Shredz.

Unless someone is entering a competition where they have to make weight for a weight class then I think this is the best way to approach cutting.

Cut finished - upping cals by 200 or so and maintaining for summer.

Thanks for all the motivations and support brahs! Special shout out to deltpac for being a great miscer!

I’ll try to post pics monthly. I’ll be staying lean going forward, considering a bulk in winter; but we’ll see.
