I've never bought a big bottle (6.8oz) of Dior Sauvage and see one for $115 on ebay. Is that a good price? What is the usual average price for a 6.8oz, does anybody know? Really considering buying it :P.

As a guy who is deep into high end shoes, I would say that's a decent deal. About $150 off MSRP.

That being said, AE was bought by a private equity firm a while ago which is why the prices got jacked up, and supposedly the quality went down.

If you're in the market for some decent shoes beyond AE, I would recommend Carmina/Crockett and Jones/Alden - you can frequently find their shoes on clearance/sale.

Skoaktiebolaget is where I get my shoes now for the most part.

Also, brooks brothers sells quite a bit of Crockett and Jones (under the Peal & Co. name) and Alden - you can frequently find corporate sales for 25% off, and 40% off single purchase coupons.

Just saying - I used to be a big AE fan, but when I expanded my horizons I found that there are so many better (but more expensive) shoe makers out there which have better quality/designs/lasts.

AE lasts are just too traditional/conservative.

To all DIOR Sauvage peeps: What's the usual/average price for a 6.8 oz bottle? I was planning on buying one on ebay for $115. Is there any cheaper or is that a very good price?

Perhaps layer ISO E Super molecule to The One to make it last longer?

I'm actually loving La Nuit now. It's pretty much the one I reach for the most these days to wear out.

There is a guy in the fragrance guru nation FB group selling a 100ml gift set of 2011 La Nuit including aftershave and deodarant for $165 shipped.
Thanks for the replies. I will definitely check out fragrance guru nation and fragrance swap group on ********. I was looking to spend $150ish, give or take on a 100ml, but I decided to grab myself a 30ml decant of it off basenotes first to compare it to one of the newer batches to see if it was worth paying so much more. I also just purchased a 2014 La Nuit off ebay, which I believe is the second reformulation, but I'll test side by side with a 2011 decant, and one of the newer batches, and make up my mind from there, whether I want to bite the bullet and purchase a vintage bottle.

@Coolcicada, I believe I see your listing on Ebay, I recognize that background from the picture you post on here.

yea $244 USD is a pretty good price for firsts. That being said, you can get seconds from the shoe bank for cheaper than that (about $200). They seconds are usually in pretty good condition.

Yes! I priced it very high there because of eBay fees and I'm not in a rush to sell. I advise you to look locally too...you might find one for retail or less!

Fragboy Stewie on YouTube has a nice video highlighting the differences in formulations. Check it out when you get a few minutes.

At one point I had bottles of 2009, 2012, and 2016.

Without question, the 2012 is far and away better than the other two. I guess we can call this "version 2" or first reformulation. Smells much smoother and sexier, and the performance....oh Lord.

This has been, and will always be my #1 GOAT fragrance ever. I picked up a new 100ml bottle from someone in the FB group last year for $125 shipped and feel I got a STEAL for what it's worth to me, others will disagree I'm sure.

Stay safe OP. Did that 2 years ago playing kickball (inb4 lols). Tripped up and sprained my ankle something fierce. Felt eh that night, woke up the next morning couldn't walk. Like a good stubborn ******* I didn't go to the doctor. Just swelled up, and a day or two later got better.

SOTD : Dior Homme

Anyone remember this one? I don't see it talked about much here. In fact, I think it has been around a year since I last wore it. I have a 10ml decant in my drawer that was covered in dust it had been so long since I even touched it.

This ain't for everyone, that's for sure. If it's unisex I think it leans towards feminine, but still wearable by the right kind of guy. Buttery florals ain't nothin to F with.
