That 68 has since become (under reported likely) 68,000. For perspective that was like 6 weeks ago

Half those deaths are in the NY area, nowhere close to me. I don't live in a similar environment, not elderly, no health problems. My county still has zero deaths, total of 9 deaths in the 6 surrounding counties. The state has like 40 deaths per million. The pandemic is not here.
In related news, we may start opening up next week.

It's, in fact, safer than the flu and just now having the same impact.
Flu does this every year, killing millions of the same demographic over time.

Realistically I am not shooting 1000 yards, just not my thing, but decent group to 500 or so is more what I am interested in. This seems like a decent budget option for a range toy.

Massachusetts resident here. I have a mass compliant 10rd fixed mag lower receiver (yuk) that i want to put a .300 upper on. I will be using the Mean Arms MA loaders also. In the $500 to $700 range, what complete 10.5" uppers should i be looking at? Most likely going to put a SBPDW or similar on it also.

Want to get a read on something from you guys, see if it's the norm.
There's a local gun store that has a product in stock that I want (they posted a picture on FB, says it's in stock, no price listed). I call them and ask for their price. Their response, "Come in, we can't give you a price over the phone."
What the ****? The whole reason I'm asking in the first place - last time I was there, they were asking $180 for Larue MBTs (over 200% MSRP) and most of their other stuff had delusional pricing as well. Is it standard practice to ask customers to drive in to your store for a ****ing price check?

People dying of Covid-19 could have expected to live on average for at least another decade, according to two studies that help fill in the developing picture of the human cost of the coronavirus pandemic.
The findings show the virus isn’t just carrying off the elderly or infirm a few months before their time.
“Some people think that these people dying would have died this year anyway,” said Andrew Briggs, a professor of health economics at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine who led one of the studies. “That’s simply not the case.”

Bought an AR pistol last week and background check went smooth. Bought a handgun this week and go in to fill out the paper work. They run the background check and after a half hour of it spinning they tell me its on hold. Da fuk does that mean? Is there a wait on buying more than one handgun in a month or are they just bogged down?

The only multiple handgun thing is if you get more than one handgun from the same dealer in a week, they have an extra form to fill out to bring to the attention of the ATF in case you are straw buying quantities of handguns for your boyfriend's gang

You probably think wearing multicam in public is tacky as well lol. I only have 1 all black gun. Everything else is either camo, has stainless barrel and receiver, FDE, ODG or blued with wood furniture. I'm seriously thinking about getting the black one camo'd too

I'm (and if I understood correctly, Ike as well) only talking about the people who were going to die anyway, but died of the coronavirus instead of heart disease or whatever
Not saying anything about the total makeup of corona deaths

People dying of Covid-19 could have expected to live on average for at least another decade, according to two studies that help fill in the developing picture of the human cost of the coronavirus pandemic.
The findings show the virus isn’t just carrying off the elderly or infirm a few months before their time.
“Some people think that these people dying would have died this year anyway,” said Andrew Briggs, a professor of health economics at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine who led one of the studies. “That’s simply not the case.”
Won't happen
I am also providing this relevant scientific data:

“Some people think that these people dying would have died this year anyway,” said Andrew Briggs, a professor of health economics at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine who led one of the studies. “That’s simply not the case.”
We're only looking at the subset of people who were going to die this year anyway from various causes
Here's an admittedly simple example
Last year, 50,000 people died from heart disease
This year, 50,000 people would have died from heart disease
However, 25,000 of those die from corona instead
Which means last year 50,000 people died from heart disease
This year, 25,000 die from heart disease
So the total heart disease deaths goes down
So if you're saying that won't happen, you are saying that the people who are going to die anyway won't die of the coronavirus and so the totals for whatever their cause of death is, will not go down. That's the opposite position that you are arguing. He's saying total heart diseases deaths go down. You say he's wrong - you say total heart disease deaths will remain the same or increase. And if they remain the same, then they are unaffected by the corona virus.
Ike is saying we're going to have less deaths from heart disease (or whatever) because those people will die from corona instead
You are saying he's wrong
So you are saying that the people who were going to die from heart disease (or whatever) anyway are going to be unaffected by corona

When the median age for deaths is between 78-80, the average lifespan in the US is 78.54 years old, and large numbers of fatalities are coming from nursing homes, a PhD in infectious disease research is not required to understand that there are many people dying from COVID who were going to die this year anyway. They're dead in April, so they can't die again of other causes later in the year.

Around $1k it is a significantly better deal than anything the market has seen for years, and it's not even close.
At $1,750 in black or $2k in DDC, it's time to bum a coupon code off somebody or buy a KAC isntead. Maybe. It's still probably worth $2k if you have it and you like how it's set up and are okay with the premium features that call for the price tag
Mine was $1,190. Way, way worth it. $2k? I wouldn't pay $2k for it...probably.
