Well, only a couple possibilities really exist here - either security was light and he took care of them, which is strong. Or security bailed the second he produced a gun and didn't bother to intervene while he was ranting, which is also pretty strong.

There could have been a second shooter with a suppressor, maybe there is even a nice green photo of some bushes or grass in the area

Looks like the magazine popped out and the bottom plate came off. Maybe it was hit with gunfire or broke somehow when he hit the ground?

Also, it sounds like Roger McDowell was responsible?

Slide? Looks like a magzzine that lost the baseplate.

It is not uncommon to have your firearm hit, because

-If you hold it up in many common shooting positions while attempting to engage the person who shoots you, the firearm is likely to end up in the bullet path
-People have been known to target focus on the real threat, that being the gun the person is using, and thus shoot the gun

So his gun may well have been shot.

Or he did a speed reload and dumped the mag on the ground and it broke? Seems less likely especially if shooting till slide stop

noticed that and wasnt sure if it was the magazine and that was the spring sticking out of the bottom. seems mroe likely and that looks like a much larger dia. spring than the one in the slide.

yea i can understand that. I actually wouldnt mind washington state either. I have some family there and i used to go visit every summer, and sometimes in the winter/spring and i loved it, but i think Texas is ultimately where i would like to end up, i wouldnt be mad about washington state tho, specifically not the north western part of the state.
