Extra $8k per month, half of which is taxable. Not bad
Not familiar with that but sounds like a pretty good gig without any of the supervision headaches. Good stuff.

The midwest gun works (MGW) universal sight tool is probably the second best (optional) gun tool/equipment dealio I have ever invested in. Installing your own sights, and getting S&W sights on and off without breaking anything in order to do trigger/action stuff, priceless. So worth it. Just get shoes for the different pistols you have and voila (best is shot timer obviously)

Thanks for the reply. The Owl looks very tempting. Pretty much exactly what I’m looking for.

I have a generic sight tool from eBay, works great for the price since I've only used it maybe 5 times; similar to MGW but much cheaper, both price and quality though.

Took out my P365 on my lunch break and sent 250 rounds of Federal 147 gram defensive ammo. Expensive range trip, but well worth it

not one bobble, and the recoil was much more manageable than last weekend, when I was shooting 90 gram +P JHP through it

In top tier I'd put Cloud, Modlight, and Arisaka. Surefire is durable but output and beam quality are mediocre. Streamlight is decent. Fenix is decent in terms of dog eater manufacture. Hobby tier is Inforce and Olight imo.

Saw the Ghost Gunner 3... thought about it, $2600.... nah, I'm good. Maybe when the OT picks up again for me, pretty much a cmm that is very specific in its tasks. Cool concept since machining just isn't a strong suit of mine.

Surefire has (from a flashaholic perspective) kind of always been behind on the tech. LED/emitter tech progresses more quickly than they are able to keep up with in their lights, and they target people for whom lights are a work tool in a sea of other work tools, who don't really get into the techs and specs and comparing beamshots and runtimes and all that stuff where, if you get into it, smaller more niche type companies are always on the leading edge (like modlight, arisaka, fenix, 4sevens used to be, etc). Olight and Inforce are probably okay but obviously not in the group with the others. I have been EDC'ing olight for a couple years or more and they are tough. Lots of drops, several wash and dryer cycles, etc, going strong.

I forget about arisaka and modlight because I've never even used either of their lighting products. I have the OWL though and it's a ****ing precision machined tank

There's more we don't know, than we do. Pretty sure.

But, nothing indicates lethal force should have been in play.

Kahles, ~$89.00 retail, fits 34mm tube, made in America.

Vortex, $49.00 retail, fits 34mm tube, made in America

I don't know if there's a more expensive tube mount bubble level or not, I just went to Sport Optics page and got their pricing.

People aren't going to buy a Kahles bubble level because they need a bubble level. They're going to buy a Kahles bubble level because they need a bubble level and have a Kahles scope.

As you dial elevation for long distance you're making large corrections in real space. If your rifle is canted to the left, you'll miss left and short, canted right you'll miss right and short.

Little things add up when you're trying to hit small things at long distance.

Only thing I don't like about the ADM Recon-X mount is that the center-close screws block the marks on the parallax adjustment and are too tall to pair with one of our Parallax levers...
