I was just talking to some people here when a person asked about keto. Somebody else highly recommends it, they and their family all lost a lot of weight, and she doesn't recommend counting calories because everybody she knows that has done that thought it was a PITA and quit real fast. But eating <20 grams of carbs a day is not a PITA, and they don't count calories they just look at the label on everything to make sure they don't get any carbs lol that's no way to live

I asked to be off work that day. Probably go shoot some chit, grill a steak and drink. Can’t think of anything else I’d rather do

Low carb (South Beach, Keto, Paleo-ish, etc) are pretty easy because they tend to be self-restricting in terms of calories and, if you are particular sensitive to carbs, you just feel better on them. The food you eat just tends to fill you up faster and for longer . . . so you sort of eat less (or "enough") without much need to track/calculate. You can down a ton of calories with bread, chips, rice, etc. and without thinking much about it. It's harder to overeat on protein and fat--not that you can't overeat . . . it just seems to happen less.

All the times I have been the most successful in getting in shape happened through low carb. I did pretty close to South Beach for a trip to Hawaii once and got into the best shape of my life. For whatever reasons, that just works better for me and with less effort in tracking the food vs higher carb approaches.

Jeager mentioned a suppressor is a must have for home defense. Gotta tell the bad guy to hold on a sec before you put on hearing protection.

Because in the ___ home defense gun uses that happen every year, only the ones with a suppressor are successful.

Speaking of, how many defensive gun uses with a suppressor have there been? Nationwide? Ever?

I was only mentioning the need for proper ear protection. You don't want to live the rest of your life with a bestie named Tinnitus. On another note, who in the MFC has it? Eeeeeeeeee

Same. I think a 300blk gun with a suppressor would be the ultimate home defense gun but yea the hurdles are BS. Both of my local dealers have the silencer shop kiosk thing though which I guess makes it a little easier.

It’d also be a great gun for my backyard because it’s so quiet. Don’t really want to be shooting 556 back there.

Literally theonlyreason I'm considering it is I'm good friends with the owner of a local shop with a SS kiosk. That along with this:https://www.silencershop.com/service...hot-trust.htmlsounds like without a doubt the most hassle and headache free way to go about buying a suppressor.

I never really wanted a 300 blackout or a silencer until I shot my buddy's a few months ago. With subsonic ammo I was completely amazed at how quiet it was.

Sick. Wish 300blk was cheaper but if you aren’t shooting cases of ammo every month it wouldnt be too terrible.

Mine is a shadow line compact (no firing pin block), which are even more rare than 99021 or 99041. Was eyeing them for a while from cz custom (which is local to me) but waited too long and they were gone. Then I saw an ffl on gun broker listed one that was already trigger job done up by CZ custom, so I snatched that thot up. Sent the slide and rmr to relent (primary machine) to get it tst.

But yeah I'd prefer the 99021 or 99041 over the regular decocker p01. I'd prefer 99021>99041 for a carry gun, would rather have the alloy frame.

I always point out that there's no way around the laws of the universe. Thermodynamics state that you can't create or destroy energy. Our bodies are thermodynamic machines.

People here like to do HCG "diets". I tell them that it's not magic, they're simply destroying their appetite so thereby they can eat less than like 800 kcal per day without feeling starvation/hunger. I've seen people yo yo diet via HCG: they start HCG, eat 800cal, don't workout at all, drop 40lbs in like 1 or 2 months, lose any muscle mass they might of had, now their metabolism is destroyed. Then they stop HCG, resume same bad eating habits, put back on 50 or 60lbs in 2 or 3 months.

The other fad here is soccer moms that are a mere 20 or 40lbs overweight go to Mexico to get stomach band surgery... they claim they're exceptions to the laws of physics and can't lose the weight "no matter what". Like come on, 40lbs over weight isn't even that big of a deal, you could lose that weight in a year at a very healthy rate.

People just want instant gratification. I have very little respect for HCG or belly band people, but belly band is especially pathetic imo.

There are women that convince other women to go to Mexico for belly band, they receive commission on their referrals. Absolutely pathetic, predatory. Same types of bastards that prey on stupid people with MLM
