He asks to take it for a test drive "sure why not lol" Luckily he comes back. Everything checks out so he's like "we're going to go to a town 15 minutes down the parkway where Linda is and she'll give you the money for it" Sounds good. "No need to load it back on the trailer, I'll just ride it there" Sure why not lol. "Just follow my friend in the truck, he'll show you where to go" Lol ok.

We hop on the parkway and he's GONE on my rocket. Like 140ish gone. Meanwhile I'm just following joe blow in the old chevy trying to figure out at what point I should call the cops and tell them my bike just got stoled.

But I kept following him and finally we get to a parking lot and there's my bike with some woman looking it over. Paid me cash, I left the signed title and away we went.

I regret selling it every day, but at least I still have both kidneys.
If someone told me that this was literally the only time this sort of sequence of events turned out perfectly in the end, I wouldn't be in the slightest bit surprised.

lol for the Harley sale I mentioned above, before he showed up I stopped off at Office Depot and bought a pack of counterfeit markers, and had my woman mark every single one of those bills laid out on the table while we were talking. He was offended but got over it.

In Western WA counterfeiting got so good 2 years ago pens became useless, the movie theatre I ran we bought around 20 UV detectors. We were even having counterfeit $10s come through.

$15 - $30, totally worth it if you're going to be receiving a lot of cash payments.

Basically, guys have gotten really good at bleaching legit currency paper. You need to be able to spot security threads and watermarks.

Reason 241 I'm thankful I don't have to deal with that job anymore lol.

You guys think it's bad, but you didn't even see them. They might have had a full set of teeth between the three of them. No idea why I trusted them that much. Guess I just wanted to sell it that bad. The place we went to was an American Legion Post (where the buyer was a bartender). We went inside at one point and there was a big sign on the door that said no guns so I sort of stopped at the door and was like ummmm and the first guy that test drove it just chuckled and said "don't worry about it, we all have guns".

At least the guy texting me today is using punctuation.

Testing out the new grill. Rolled it off the floor of Lowe’s because I wasn’t about to assemble my own. Want to make sure I don’t catch on fire again.

Gun was just my Ruger 10/22. It has a 4.5 mil drop reticle in it, which I was trying to use with a 100 yd zero so I could shoot from 25 yds to 200, but it was 1.7" high at 25 yds and like 8 inches low at 200, so I just got a 4.6 mil exposed turret installed on it, now I just need to figure out my holds. It was doing great out to about 150 yds though.

How did that turn out? I took a personal check when I sold the Porsche Cayenne but I told the guy I'd keep the car and title for two weeks to make sure everything cleared. He was an airline pilot and had no problem with that. I confirmed his employment. When the two weeks was up I parked it in a Marriott parking lot in town with the title in it and gave the keys to the concierge per his instructions. Think he was based in Nashville and just grabbed it on his next Charlotte flight. Never heard from him again so I guess it worked out for him.

Ducati 996.

It was an older retired guy, which is not what I expected. He's not going to buy it, but he's a motorcycle enthusiast (he has 3, none of which are a cruiser), and he just wanted to check out the unique bike down the road I think.

I have a Weber for charcoal but want a BGE or dedicated smoker.

The gas grill is for convenience and ease. When I get home from work I don’t want to mess with charcoal. A lot easier and faster to just turn the gas on and get a consistent temperature.

True, that cast iron is a beeotch. MamaB thought it was rusted once and wouldn’t eat anything off of it, lol. Needless to say, it gets cleaned regularly now.

Worked out a deal with the place where I store my camper over the winter to store it outdoors on their property when not camping during spring/summer/fall. $100 a month.

Place is 5 minutes from my house and there are a ton of flat spots to park it.
