I'm not even sure why they think their face looks better with foundation caked on and all shiny and pasty looking, compared to it just being clean and natural looking....

It is possible that the app can predict what most people look like under makeup, while totally screwing up faces that are not wearing makeup at all. It was never designed to run on people without makeup. Running it incorrectly proves nothing.

That said, it's obvious that the app isn't accurate in a lot of cases, adds years meth abuse to faces, and that it's being taken far too seriously.

Maybe, depends on the base photo used by IMO it looks like a lot of the results are very close to what reality would be.

You are so fukin stupid that I would punch your grandpas dentures in for siring the piece of chit that sired you.

Women spend chit loads of money and hours per day and also pay professional make up artists for a reason.

Because they look like chit without properly applied makeup.

The app assumes you have makeup on and enhances the imperfections to estimate what your face looks like without foundation. You're not gaming the app using it on yourself; you're proving that you are a fukkin dumb piece of chit.

I know it assumes you have makeup on, I'm just saying the fact that it has to do this and can't recognize bare faces makes me skeptical of the how accurately it represents one's bare face from an original photo with makeup on. You really don't need to call me a "fukkin dumb piece of chit".

IDK how accurate this app is? We all know theres big differences between woman all made up, especially celebrities with $500 and hour make up artists compared to going bare, but this app seems to be a little on the extreme side.

How many times does this have to be explained to you. This app is based on MACHINE LEARNINGIt's algorithms are not designed to check if makeup is on or not, but to exaggerate or dull likely areas of makeup application. Pictures don't have layer data in them, so how would some code in a program know if there is makeup applied or not. It literally scans the color, contrast and vibrancy of each pixel to approximate what edits to make.

Imagine you are using a powerful pressure washer or sandblaster to clean a dirty surface. Sure it can remove the dirt and make it look like it normally does, but hold it long enough and eventually you will damage the paint and possibly the surface.

I know it can't. And because of that, I don't think I can trust it to accurately represent what a person really looks like underneath their makeup. That picture of Emma Watson on the first page? She looks nothing like that without makeup. We've all seen pictures of her on the streets. She doesn't have practically white fukking lips and 0 eyelashes and dark under eye bags.

That picture that Buzzabrah posted? That pic thinks she has red and irritated skin without makeup because the lighting in the background had like a red tint to it, so it saw some red undertones on her face and turned her whole face red when it generated the no makeup pic.

I know it's a machine, I know it's based on algorithms, I know all this chit. I know the app has no capabilities to walk up to someone and wipe their face with a wetnap to see if there's even makeup on in the first place. Why tf would I think that?

I was under the impression that this app's intention was to represent what a woman's skin and face would ACTUALLY look like in REAL life if they weren't wearing makeup in the pic chosen, and I think it fails to do so. Idk why miscers get so upset whenever I even lightly criticize this app and what I thought were its intentions. If its intentions aren't to be as accurate as possible then what tf is the point?

How would a human know if a girl in a photo has natural looking makeup on or not? Is that human designed flawed?

Remember that OKcupid study, where women rated 80% of men as "below average" in attractiveness, while men rated 50% of women as such? An excerpt:

"But with the basic ratings so out-of-whack, the two curves together suggest some strange possibilities for the female thought process, the most salient of which is that the average-looking woman has convinced herself that the vast majority of males aren’t good enough for her"

I wonder what those numbers would look like if makeup was taken out of the picture. I'm assuming this take makeup off thing is based on FA bitterness from stuff like that

You can't fix stupid. The app makes one and only one assumption - the person you have submitted in the photo has makeup on.

Use this app on your azzhole and watch your face will magically appear.
