Grateful for

-The nice visit with my parents today.

-Cellphones. Haven’t seen husband since Wednesday afternoon when he left for work. Due to long hours, he’s staying with his parents to sleep during the day so he can make it back to work on time (night shift). Glad we can at least chat on the phone and can send pics of the kids to him.

-Got my cardboard fireplace half done for Christmas. Can’t wait to hang out stockings above it when I get them.

-The stockings my sister is making for my family. She’ll be bringing them tomorrow. Star Wars for the husband, Star Trek for me, rainbows for my oldest and a paisley pattern stocking for the baby.

I’m grateful for my family. Parents, fiancé, daughter, sister. Most should have ditched me years ago but they still got me. They give me reason to be better every day.

I’m grateful for my spinal surgeons in 2005. Without them I would likely be disabled today. Today, I weld for a living, lift, and do pretty much anything I want.

I’m grateful for being alive. State troopers had every reason to shoot me in August ‘17 and didn’t.

I like this thread.

- I have presents under the tree. Many homeless around me do not
- I live in a home with heat
- Even though my living situation is chitty with a mean roommate, still, at least I have shelter and a room as an escape from the tirades
- I am searching for new places, so that brings some relief
- One more week of work and then I'm off for 9 days!!!
