B b b b but in 2007 I said the market was gonna crash! Remember that?
The guy literally could have used Bitcoin as his anti-inflationary hedge, and he shot that down, too.

my take: if you don't buy the mini dips then when u gonna buy? when the stock is all the way at the top?
I guess buying when market red is a weird concept for some people

lmao at this talk of bear and bull nonsense.
how dumb are some of you not realize market is run by institutions, you're just in it for the ride.
at moment there is no option but stock market… going long at bonds might as well burn money.
notice how fedex / nike etc and now everyone coming in with earnings is complaining on rising costs / supply chain issues / input costs
natural gas is rising
https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/citi-isn...nter-1.1656209
oil is 2018 level high
real wage growth is not growing
there is more job openings than unemployed.
transitory is turned to actual
you better ride this jpow magic carpet and step in/out every time we have small sell off
also just lmao at talking with co workers about stocks market.
most of the morons around me are more interested in getting home to watch twitch and what graphics card is in stock.
they are still paying off student loans / have debt sky high

I always found when smooth brains at work or friends of friends start talking about the stock market and telling me to make plays it's time to play it safe. Most of those ape's can barely make a car payment or hold down a job.

I’ve only ever met a few people who were interested in talking about stocks/companies like many of us do in here, the vast majority have been strictly into penny stocks n chit
Might also be a contributing factor to why many of them have made in the neighbourhood of $200k for years and don’t have much to show for it

Just LOL if you aren’t deep in the oil game. Not too late to buy SU leaps $25 strike for 1/2023 at $190 each.
TGA at around $2 is a pretty solid buy given current market conditions. I thought we were going to be pretty range bound in the $65-70 area but we might chill in the upper $70s before too long. I figure TGA should realistically be priced closer to $4 or $5 a share by next summer.

Yes, here's one of my favorite parts of the book.
Buffett's take regarding speculating on new technologies (he said this in 1999);
^ sound familiar, EVcels?
found a link, this is basically the best chapter of the entire book: https://www.berkshirehathaway.com/19...neMagazine.pdf
EDIT: this article might have been why I dumped DKNG.

Buddy of mine just got back from overseas. Early 30s, had a pile of money he earned, and the dumbass went out and bought an AMG Mercedes SUV straight cash, doesn't own a single stock or investment outside of what his employer gave him through employee stock programs and those are ALWAYS poverty, at least at his level. People are just absolutely retarded when it comes to money, but these are the same people who binge videogames 4 hours a day so i have no sympathy.
