Less than 2 months to go. Starting to feel real now!

Here is where I’m at right now. Very slowly leaning out. This thread constantly motivates me to push harder. Huge shout out to Deltpecx and TypeNirvash for helping me out and not getting frustrated with my dumb questionslol

Thanks!

In this pose try to get your elbows in closer to your head.
I think it will give a better line from your torso up through your arms.
She approached with her hand extended,. I slowly stepped back. "No" she said. "I just want to shake your hand. You're amazingly gorgeous." As she walked by me she copped a biceps feel.

Hi guys, just finished a 9 week cut where I lost about 11 lbs. Feeling very skinny at the minute but looking forward to spending a long time gaining (sensibly).

All pictures are first thing in the morning prior to eating/ drinking.

gjdm, main thing i'd say is to really focus on hamstrings and adductors, bringing those up will add a chit ton of thickness to your legs

How does one exactly lose abdominal fat on a caloric surplus?

Honestly getting tired of my abdominals not appearing even at such a low weight since it makes for a nice added physique

Your abs just might not be developed enough yet. If you’re in a surplus and you hit them every training day, it will pay off when you cut. Even on a cut, I hit them 4-5x per week for about 20 mins each session

Thanks bro? Any guess on bodyfat % at the minute?

I'm planning on running a high frequency bench and Squat programme based on Greg Knuckols template. Might stick with deadlift variations like sumo or stiff leg to bring up the weak areas you suggested.

Honestly ever did compounds to focus on abdominal , never really directly worked on them which might've been the issue. Just gonna keep focusing on bulking up then and keep the training going.

I think also that is the issue.

Why wouldn't your train the abs?

Train the abs..it is a muscle.

What ab exercises have you found best in terms of being able to progressively overload over the years?

I often hear cable crunches mentioned but I can't get a good feel for them, I'm obviously doing something wrong.

Here's what I have done over the years.

Standing Cable crunches
Kneeling Cable Crunches ..facing the weight stack.
Planks
Repping Planks; Go up hold for a count of 2-3-4 or 5 then go down...repeat for a sets of 10 reps
Weighted Planks
Russian Twists.
Captain Chair Leg raises.. not weighted and weighted with the DB between feet.
Captain Chair Knee raises..same as above
Lying Inclined leg raises..lying with head up top, feet on floor, legs straight.
Weighted Lying Leg Raise
Ball Crunches with feet stabilized.

Usually people do cable crunches kneeling.
They usually engage their hip flexor when they crunch down.
This is why you might not feel it in the abs.
I keep my hips stable. I pull down with the abs.

With all crunches I pull with the abs and feel the abs working on the way up.

That mind muscle connection.

When weight training learn to feel the muscle working that you are training.
Don't just move a bunch of weight.

It's NOT about how much weight you lift.
It's about HOW you lift the weight.

I’m about as nerdy as it gets when it comes to optimal exercise selection and I can’t disagree with ayyyy, specifically a seated leg curl with thigh pad that really loads the mid and lengthen ranges. No better exercise for pure ham output through an large ROM. Lying leg curl limits output a good bit due to stability

I would absolutely scrap the sumo anything for leg development. Stick to RDLs and leg curls to bring up hams

Rarely ever trained abs. I get the “it’s a muscle, train it” idea but I’m no sure If that’s a positive or not with abs

It is if someone lacks visible ab definition at a low bodyfat percentage

That's fair! I agree that actual BF % doesn't really matter but I do think it's worth getting opinions as I've found before that my own opinion on my BF % can be quite inaccurate.

Have access to a standing leg curl machine and a GHD at the minute so I'll be sure to pick a curl variation along with a hip extension exercise in the programme.
