People gonna start panic dumping/taking profits on CCIV. Lots of other things mooning. Fomo is moving on already thank fuk. I'd still like to scoop more shares at $15.50 if possible.

The merger is more or less 80/20 (80% merge with CCIV and 20% chance direct IPO) but people are impatient. I've got about 1000 shares worth of exposure and I'll probably only buy another 300 shares sub 16 and then increase my exposure via selling puts.

Inb4 Ark lady announces she bought a fuk load of CCIV and it moons before I ever get the chance

I think there is a max of 2-3 weeks left for the deal to be announced. Next Monday or the next monday after imo.

IV getting dropped right now though. 180 currently I think friday it was closer to 250 or some shyt.

That is a solid play. I just wanted something for the week. Turned out to be an hour lol. I currently have a lot of options in play between 1/29 and 3/19, so I don't want to add anything else to those time frames until I close some thing(s) out. Part of me was thinking getting assigned at $26 on PLTR wouldn't be horrible, but that's $130k that I'd have to commit to. I will be watching what happens this week and into Demo Day, but just from the sidelines :-/

I'm considering adding 500 shares of PLTR so I can do 2/18 CSPs.. premiums are $2.24 for $30 strike right now

my only worry is the lockup expiration.. don't want to bag hold while I wait for share price to climb back, if it dips

CCIV -1000 today

I was up 10k now a little less. GSAH just started trending dunno whats goin on huge buys, same thing happened last week and there are rumors of Coinbase merger. Its a Goldman Sachs SPAC so I don't think they are going to bring some garbage public.

All my buying power is exhausted right now. Can't afford to deposit until like April either, tax season I think I am going to have to pay the gov 15k

Well, your CSP would be green so you could close out with a profit and then dump your shares if you want. Or you could go full degen and sell shares anyways and have a naked short call (if your account status is eligible) and hope that it expires worthless.

Hey all completely new to investing. Figured i have money saved up but its not doing much in the bank account. Was thinking about starting with 1k. Do you guys recommend I do it all on one stock or more diversified? I'm looking at the Rolls Royce stock I really like it. I checked robinhood and can buy 650 shares

Should I go full degen or what do misc?

I bought some 30$ C 1/22 to join bag holding and it quickly died out.

Ugh I'm an idiot, I meant 2/19 CCs. Your logic still applies though right? If PLTR starts to dump, the CCs should turn green and I can buy to close.

Also - do you make more money off shares, or options? I started thinking, it seems like it would be easier to just buy several companies I think have long term potential, that also have great premiums, and just do monthly CCs to generate passive income.. take PLTR for example. I have 1k shares now, and if I had bought my CCs today, I'd be looking at $2250 premium for a 2/19 $30 strike. If I did that with four other companies I could theoretically gain > $5-10k/month just off premiums.

Correct, BUT the IV on PLTR is crazy high, so you won't necessarily see dollar for dollar movement on stock vs option because of the IV as well as how much time is left (theta). But you should still see similar movement

You won't find that many, if any, long term potential companies with high IV.
Also, let's use PLTR in this example, what if you have a 2/19 $30 CC, but next week you see it sling shot to $30. You still have 3 weeks left on the CC for things to correct, or get way worse. Are you fine actually letting go of your shares? Are you fine staring at bright red numbers on your CC or are you going to panic AND fomo at the same time and close out your CC (for a loss) and hope to ride your shares to more profit?

This is the great debate, and each side will have stats to show that their side is the right side... I say why not both? Sell puts on stocks you would LIKE to own for the long haul. If they get assigned, awesome! If they don't, oh well you just got that premium. For instance, at the end of December I sold puts on every ARK there is, not because the premium was good, but because I wouldn't have minded adding them to my long positions. Just so happened that none of them got assigned lol.

Palantir insiders had plenty of opportunity to sell their shares in the private market.

Good chance as well that institutions are all doing their part not to skyrocket the price and let everyone get a piece of Palantir once the unlock expiration occurs. I expect the supply to be met by eager buyers.

It’s a $50 billion company with very little institutional ownership.
