Okay fellas, I m planning to officially begin the contest on Sunday night, possibly during the Superbowl Halftime Show, and run it for three weeks, through the rest of February. Deadline for entries will be February 28th @ 11:59pm EST. Voting will take place the first week of March, and a new mascot will be crowned.

This could very well be the biggest event in Misc history

I never cared for Bert. It was just one of those memes that had it's time, and the bert stare was funny when used correctly for what it was, a reaction meme, that's it. How it became a mascot is beyond me. But i respect it for those who do and come to consider that the miscs mascot, and for nostalgia etc. If majority of people don't want it changed, that is more than fair.

If people wanted a new "mascot", i would definitely vote for Harambee because it can be understood from those outside of misc, and everyone around the world. It's actually pretty cool the layers of representation there because not only does he represent Strength and Muscle (BB.comMisc), he was a cultural icon, he died for our sins, and what many agree on a turning point for the worse in our society. Honestly, i don't think any OG miscer coming back here, would be upset to see a logo with some small text indication of it being harambee. Harambee was a topic talked about on the misc when it happened, and referenced at times and everyone understands it. It's a giant Big Black Gorilla with lots of culrutral representation, and a worthy gorilla to be honored in memory. I support the BBG
