They? The company has been bought out a couple of times. When they updated the entire website a year or two ago, they probably saw supporting a forum as a waste of money and resources, not realizing it was likely their main funnel for website traffic and customers. This. I mean I still liked it, but it was completely dead compared to what it was a decade before it shut down.

Every forum I'm aware of, except reddit, is dying or has died. They could have just kept the misc open, but bb.com is ultimately a business, and they didn't need the forums for anything. That was always kind of misc's weak point, that it was tied to a business, and not just something made by someone in it for the love of the game. Or a government agency like 4chan lol
