I remember about a decade ago, a white couple got murdered and the woman raped. IIRC, the guy was drowned and both had their skulls caved in with a blunt tool like a spade. They arrested two Burmese people, IIRC, but there was conspiracy at the time that they were just patsies and it was Thai police covering for locals.
