I agree. The better team won but honestly Argentina over performed in this particular game if anything. They had some rough matches earlier in the tournament and still managed to block Spain until the 2nd half of extra time. Messi also had the best moments when he actually controlled the ball.

And Yamal was unimpressive. This guy is supposed to be the next soccer superstar? Nah.

But props to Spain. As a team they had the tools to pull it off.

Now because you couldn't prove that Argentina played bad you've started to cherry pick that certain Argentina players played bad. That's how you know you've lost the argument.

Argentina... THE TEAM... took the game scoreless 0-0 to the 106th minute or whatever with an opponent who was supposed to beat them well before that.

Yes yamal was unimpressive during the whole world cup hes just overhyped in general. I think argentina was too smoked from the last match too, no excuse for playing that bad tho.

They need to hold the World Cup every year or at least every 2 years. This was so much fun. I can’t believe how much I enjoy soccer now. 2 months ago I didn’t give a single fook about the sport. Now I don’t want it to end lol.

Imo, if Spain was good at finishing that could have easily been 5-0, but they were passive in the box and didn't finish well

Also credit Argentina defense who made the u.s. defense look like amateurs by comparison. Argentina defense swarm ball and in way. The u.s. defense from the games I saw just watches and falls over
