Part of this trip for me is to get rid of some of this attachment to my body cause it'll eventually go one day. Better to get unattached now then when you're forced to by old age.

I'm finishing the half of the John Muir Trail that I haven't done yet in July. Did 100 miles in 5 days last time I went so now I need to do the other 112. It's nice getting away from everything and not giving a **** about the things in life that drag us down.
Can't believe I didn't see this thread until now too.

Mirin so hard.
OP, didn't you post a photo of you reading on your Kindle while camping some time last year? You reading any good books while you're chilling in the evenings?
How are you doing your pull-ups? On a door, branch, or something else?
Just checked out your youtube channel, instagram, and all that - there's just a lot of awesome stuff there. I hope you get mod reps, genuine happiness, and fulfillment from your trip. Best thread I've seen in a long time.
Edit: Sorry if I missed it: how many friends are with you, or you doing it solo? How'd you get the free amusement park tickets?

Pullups on the truss beams of shelters mostly. Reading random Kindle unlimited fantasy and science fiction right now lol, most are kinda trash but fun. Also read way of Zen by Alan Watts out here found it in a hiker box.
Doing it solo!
Got free tickets from a girl I met hiking she lives in Gatlinburg works with bald eagles. So I got o see bald eagles and got a free day riding roller coasters.

You using pemetherin coated clothing? Once you hit northern Maryland/PA I would NOT fuark around with Lyme disease. You are headed to the epicenter of it once you hit PA. I just had to get tested last week and know a LOT of people who lost years due to it, its a huge epidemic no one is really talking about...CDC estimates around 350,000 people will get it each year in a very small center from eastern PA to Maine along the coast line/far north east north east. Majority never knew they were bit by a tick and most don't get the bulls-eye rash. ExOfficio makes pemethrin coated cloths I would look into.....cheap insurance.
srs, don't take the Lyme risk lightly man.
http://www.cdc.gov/lyme/stats/maps.htmlyour heading into ground zero bruh, get your guard up.
