Something's not adding up here, how do you make 70K a year but only pay 600 for rent, rent that cheap must mean you live in some poverty state like Idaho. Generally, those chit states don't pay that much in wages.

Put a good amount into your 401k, the rest, save at least $3k and call Vanguard, ask them how to open an account. Your first account should be a Roth IRA, put the max (something like $5500 annually) into it with these percentages. 60% VTI (total US index fund) 20% VXUS (total international stock index fund) and 20% BND (total US bonds)

Rent is 1,100 but I split it with my brother at the moment. And its a nice apartment in a centralized area (live by a mall in the suburbs, its a nice area)

I'd go w the Charger or 5 series. depends if you want 'muscle sport' or 'luxury sport'

Only thing is, and I'm sure others have said, when buying a used "luxury" car be prepared for big repair bills. I have an 07 3series, when I bought it I went in knowing that 'hey at some point I'm going to need to sink some money into this' and have been more than happy.

Also I've been told charger engines have problems past 100k miles. I thnk it may have only been the smaller engine though.

Yes you can afford all of these.

Why do you not have the 2013+ Accord Sedan/Coupe EX-L V6 on your radar? Probably a better bang for your buck than every single car you posted, bar the G37x and the F150, which would both be nicer for the winters.

I agree. I make 50ish K a year, pay my own rent, give my mother $500 a month for hers, and still afforded a car for $25k. Doable. Budgeting is key.

The people ripping OP for the not investing are spot on....

First max your work 401k to matching.
Next max your Roth IRA - If you know nothing just get an S&P 500 index fund off Vanguard.

90% of financial advisers are scum/don't know what they are doing. The problem is with out financial knowledge picking out the right 10% is hard.

Sounds like you can... my advice, buy something with less than 30,000 miles on it. There is no substitute for low mileage. Buy a car that is less than 2 years old and you will likely still have some of the new car warranty.

I would stay away from anything that isn't Japanese if you want cheap/reliable/fun. American cars are usually junk and depreciate HORRIBLY after like 2 years. German cars aren't bad, but usually are super expensive when it comes to maintenance (unless you can do the work properly yourself). Acura TL's are aesthetic and nice.

i make basically half of what you make and currently is looking for a vehicle within your price range

budgeting is key my friend.

It's not counting cable/internet, phone, car insurance, gas, food, electric, water, etc... All in all it's around $1000-1,200 in bills every month.

You can technically afford them all.

I would go with the Fusion. No need to pay more than you have to. Better to spend that money elsewhere.

i make 50k a year working part time and going to school, i have a 2013 altima with 50k miles that i bought to commute to school. my car payment is $225 a month which i usually pay 500 to pay off quicker. oh and I have a 2004 dodge ram quad cab to pull my boat which i paid for in cash.... youre good bro
