Do people go into trades because they're too dumb to finish a STEM degree?

People get into trades they are interested in,not to get the approval of some snob.If you get a job in something you have a passion for,it doesn't feel like work.

Imagine if everyone had the same education and degree.
would that make it easier or tougher to find a job?

ITT: OP thinks the average STEM grad lives like the Wolf of Wall Street
The engineer brahs I know
-put on a pair of solid-white grandma sneakers in the morning
-drive their beat up econobox to work - even if they can afford better, engineers are nearly always cheap fuks.
-stare at a computer all day. Excel, Matlab, Autocad, PSPICE, email, whatever.
-work 40-60 hours a week. Slave-driver type 80 hour weeks can happen if the company is run by some real pieces of chit or deadlines are coming up.
-come home to their usually intelligent but butt-ugly wife and children.
-repeat until mortgage is paid.

Worked few different jobs seeing what I enjoyed, eventually completed a trade as a fitter and turner.
Quickly became supervisor, get 6 figures and I was paid to do my qualification. Now looking at studying part time to open up some new employment options.
If you think trades are dumb try engineering a way to take a chit and wash your hands without the pipes a plumber put in for you.
Just lol if you think man would ever have gone to space without someone to BUILD rockets after the engineers made a bunch of drawings.
Also the best engineers I've dealt with have hands on experience or started out in trade based work, the number of dumb fuks who wonder why chit they draw isn't physically possible to make is amazing.

When will miscers just realize that no matter what field or industry you're in you will always have people in the lower end, average, and higher end of the spectrum.
Can't live a lifestyle like OP posted if you're making an average salary in any field. That home is literally a 10k/day penthouse.

CS has an advantage over (almost) all other majors: You have unlimited potential. You can invent a product with zero capital and get rich. Unlikely, sure, but possible. In most fields this just isn't possible.
But CS is the same as (almost) all other majors in that...almost no one does this. Rat in a cage. A very awkward, mountain dew filled, obese, autistic cage.

Actually, a lot of tradies (mostly those who own a business) have these kind of 5+/10 houses.
Friend's dad own a painting business and has a two story house and a pool. It was renovated and most of the work was done by himself and his buds.
