This is so true. Even in more expensive places like Phuket, Samui, Koh Phi Phi, there is still a lot of poverty. The islands are amazing and there is a lot to see, but it's hard to go to any popular city/island in Thailand and not be exposed to the prostitutes. It's part of life over there.

There are a lot of ladyboys walking around the street. You have to go to the go-go bars to find actual girls. There won't be any working ladyboys in those establishments, unless you go to one for ladyboys.

When stuff like this is so easy, cheap and dirty it doesn't interest me but I can see the appeal especially for people down on their luck. Too many traps, too many STDs, it's pretty sad the situation over there when you look at it. I'd rather go to nice party areas in Asian countries like Hong Kong where sure you still have that desperation from women but a lot won't just be all over because you're white, you have to be at least half attractive and white. Thailand an inbred retard can get laid. The only downside are those places cost a lot more money, I am talking like $20-25 AUD per drink, but the night time quality is ridiculous.

Real talk my older cousin and I went to the red light district in Manila. Unlike most foreigners, we are first generational westerners and the ladies felt more "in touch" with us because we could speak the language. My cousin is a father now, and he used to party up with those sloots when he was younger living in Manila, but couldn't do it now because he just felt sorry for them. We ended up having a heart-to-heart with a girl who was 18 (aka probably 15) and she started getting teary because she did not know how else to support her family other than prostitution/dancing. Even if you could afford a college degree, the job market is horrendous there. Fuked up but thats just how it is.

Related to OP....pretty much a fourth of girls on Tinder in Manila are trannies. They're prevalent in public too, felt violated a few times walking the street lol

Sometimes its hard to tell not gonna lie. If the profile is too airbrushed or slooty looking, be suspect. In-person you can tell by the adams apple and their hands. But even then...many filipino men are naturally thin-boned. Makes it easier for them to transition.
