My point makes total sense. BLM activists and violent Trump protestors have no respect for the law or for the free speech of others who oppose them. People who don't respect the law and don't believe in freedom are the only type of people who deface memorials.

Wheres your proof of BLM activist hating on vets? Also BLM activist is a very small minority of people. I don't think I've actually ever seen one in real life, and me personally, I live in one of the biggest cities in USA.

The country right now is full of feelings of resentment and distrust for the establishment. So sometimes people blame soldiers because they're seen as the henchmen of the ruling class who perpetuate war and sufferings in other parts of the world for profit and power. Also some people don't care about concepts like honor or service to one's country possibly because they're disenfranchised with the system.
