Had my first encounter with the cops last month. Got pulled over on my bike for not wearing a helmet and because he thought I didn't have a rear light. He lectured me for a good 20 minutes even after he checked out my lights and let me go. Started using my helmet after, but then learned that helmets weren't required in illinois lol.

Cops are merely the governments strong man. It is not the cops who make the decisions, or reap the rewards. That is the government. Big government, particularly Democrats, that have high fees to starting a business, and you're right, if you do not pay the taxes then the government bureaucrats will send the men with guns (cops) to get you. lol I agree taxation is theft and we should have as small state as possible. But to get rid of it entirely is foolish. Who would defend our borders? Need the state for a military, but beyond foreign and domestic threats, I agree the state needs to stay out of peoples lives, and most taxes and the IRS should be eliminated. The military could be funded by trade tariffs we don't need an income tax or property tax.
