its popular alright but changes this early after the game's release are no indicative of the profits of the company merely reflective of the perceived value of its rise. Its the same as brexit dropping the pounds value instantly then it coming back up a couple days later. I have no doubt the game will do well for the company but 7 billion dollars worth. no. that's not 7 billion of newly issued nintendo stock, nor is it 7 bil of in game transactions.

I hate this game. It takes minutes to load and I can't even see any Pokemons besides my initial Bulbasaur. Maybe it's because I'm in rural China but goddamn what I'm seeing is very lame so far.

Mark my words, most of the explosion is downloads from people who are trying it out due to its novelty. Most of those people will abandon the game, going forward. Do not bet on this game. It is a game that offers very little content. They will need to expand and offer a ton of free content to keep people engaged.

In the mean time, they got all of our information. So it's all good for them.

I'm not the least bit surprised. It saved Nintendo in the 90s and made Nintendo handhelds the most popular console each generation. I just wish I'd known about Pokemon Go sooner so I could have invested; an augmented reality Pokemon game was practically a guaranteed grand slam.

Brb in this society where everything is a big fuking shopping mall. We have a new technological breakthrough that finally has people in their community being friendly and interacting together...nerds, HBBs, everyone......for FREE. An activity that lets people interact with their community without paying a 20 dollar cover charge and being drunk. A positive thing for the community.
